Costly fees. Super Bad

The card is packed with costly fees. With the Revel™ Mastercard® — issued by The Bank of Missouri and serviced by Continental Finance — you'll be assigned fees that fall between the following ranges, depending on the card's terms: An annual fee: $75 - $125. (After that, $99 - $125 annually.) A monthly maintenance fee: $0 - $10 per month (up to $120 annually). This fee isn’t billed for the first 12 months the account is opened, but if you're paying any kind of "maintenance fee," it's a red flag. Most credit cards don't charge them. Bad Bad Customer service with no answers !!!

My account was purchased from Oportun…

My account was purchased from Oportun and it is impossible to activate. When I called customer service I kept hearing prompts to activate the new Revel card but it didn't work when I put in the information. On the app, it says that my information doesn't match. I've tried to speak to a live person but keep getting hung up on. At this point, I just want to cancel the card.

Who ever is being transferred from…

Who ever is being transferred from Oportun this is Completely illegal , you get into an agreement that you have not agreed, they add an anual fee after you activate your card, I’m suing this false company and recommend everyone who gotten into this scam to do it as well

Forced Transfer

Im being forced to except terms and fees I DO NOT agree to or sign for. Oportun sold my information/account without my permission. Revel/CFC acquired my account/information without my permission. Then I was told I had to wait for the transfer to pay off my Oportun account. Now in order to make a payment I have to activate the Revel card. I spent 30 minutes on hold only to be told they can't find my account and put back on hold. Not a good start for a new account. I DO NOT agree to the terms and fees Revel/CFC

switch from oportun due to buy out

got my card after it switching from oportun.. called to get info on fees and stuff.. they told me they cant give me that info till system switches over .. thats illegal and they are not a better business bureau accredited.. should tell u somthing.. called oportun, on hold as i write this to cancel account

I call revel credit service and they don’t give me no información at all they sent me a letter with the credit card with no información at all if they are going to charge so many fees i Google and they have so many fees I don’t want the card with Oportun I don’t pay no fees at all I pay off my Oportun because I don’t know how revel is going to be no fees ok but with fees I will cancel right away

ATTENTION HIDDEN FEES !! DON'T FALL !!

To all who received a new credit card from this bank after being with oportun...DONT even bother to call or activate the card ....there is many new hidden fees added to this new credit card..starting by $100 annual fee and $30 for the credit card it self!! Seriously those thiefs have no shame!! And the super bad surprise is that they charge %35 APR !! Hell no in your dream REVEL ...I called oportun and closed my account 🙃 I hope you all do the same don't make mistakes!!

ILLEGAL non disclosure of monthly/annual fees!

Insane fees!! They recently bought out my credit card company. (Oportun Visa) I have had my Oportun Visa card for many years in good standing. Revel now wants to charge me more than 4x the annual fee I've been paying AND a monthly maintenance fee, AND some other semi-annual fee I've never heard of before. No way in heck I'm going to start paying all these fees! Mind you I did not find this out from Revel, I found it out from going on Google to check out Revel Mastercard. Revel does not include these fees in the letters in the mail with the new card, its not on their web site either. LEGALLY they are required to include the fees with the new card but they did not. I had to google it and check reviews from other financial web sites to find out what Revel is going to charge. By Law Revel should have enclosed the fee schedule with the new card they sent me, they did not. I also tried calling the number on the back of the Revel Card they sent me and its automated hell, cannot get a human being. There is NO way I'm going to do business with a bank that is already starting off immediately by doing illegal things to me. I called Oportun Visa on 10/28/24 at 10:15AM EST and closed my account. They assured me this now also closes the new Revel account as I did not and will not activate the new Revel Mastercard. This is clearly a predatory company not to be trusted!!UPDATE: they responded, asked me to contact them, I emailed them and 5 hours later, I've never heard a thing back from them.. UPDATE: 18 hours later still haven't heard a response to the email I sent at their request.UPDATE: I finally got a response via email they want to charge me $99 dollar annual fee for an account I was paying Oportun Visa a $29 dollar annual fee, they also want to charge me 35.90% Interest rate on a card I was paying nearly 10% less than that. BS BS BS BS!! NO WAY I would pay these robbery charges!!! I didnt have bad credit when I got the Oportun Visa card, and I don't have bad credit now. There is no way I'll accept these obscenely overpriced charges. Oh and they want to CHARGE YOU a fee for credit line increases too!!! They asked me to reconsider closing my account, umm WHY would I pay you triple the annual fee and 10% more interest and a fee for credit line increases? Are you insane???Get out of here thieves!!

Stay away from this card

First of all, I have called this company 13 times I paid my bill and they told me in 72 hours. My car will be where I can use it again. I waited 72 hours. The card did not come on so I called back and the man told me it takes three days because it was a weekend, when I called back, the card still wasn’t on and then they told me we can cut your card back on because you had a return payment one return payment and I told them not to auto draft out my bank so it was a mistake on their end, but they canceled my card And closed my account after I paid my card in full now every time I call back is some type of excuse or they want the bank to write a letter stating it was the banks fault reason the payment came back and it was not my bank fault, but my thing is Miss one payment and you’re gonna cut the card off and cancel it. What credit card company does that also every time I use the card I paid in full I never made really no payments. I will always pay the card back off within a week or two history with the card is great. I only made four payments since I had the card usually pay it off in four, but they took the card and canceled it And now everybody is saying if you want this car, you got to send an information regarding your bank but at this point they have the card and they need to go out of business very bad credit card company and the percentage rate everything about them is bad so I advise no one to get this card They are liars and they are crooks
