Review Time
Revel (Continental Finance) bought my credit card account from another bank (Opportun). They sent me no information about their policies after the purchase. I check my account and discover an annual fee of $99.00 charged. I did not have an annual fee prior to this. I will be reporting this shady activity to the Feds. BEWARE THIS BANK.
I activated my card in November - this was a replacement card for a card company that was transferred / bought from a previous institution. The card was not used until very late Dec/early Jan. I have been trying, unsuccessfully, for over a week to register the account to make a payment online. I have tried THREE different devices, to NO avail!!
My payments were getting returned so I called customer service and they stated I put my card # wrong. I said it was my bank routing # and account # that I have used to make previous payments fine and it hasn’t changed. They said try deleting it put it again. Payment worked but now I have late fees, return fees, and hold on my account because something messed up in their transition. Call service again and they can see #s are same from declined to approved but nothing they can do. How does that make sense? I will go out of my way to tell strangers to stay away from Revel and bank of Missouri
This is the worst card I've ever gotten. I didn't ask for this card and I still received it didn't even activate the card and they wanted to charge me for annual fee. I paid off my debt to my last credit card and for some reason it ended up arriving late conveniently and they wouldnt use the date that I sent the check, They used the date that they they received it so they gave me late fee after late fee. Then when I went to tell them I didn't want their card. Please close my account. I never asked for this. Never wanted it. So they closed the account and told me that they received my last payment. Don't worry about the late fee and since I never use the card they can't charge me an annual fee. then next thing I know I'm getting a late fee because I didn't pay the late fee Don't get a card from these guys they Don't even cut you a break. They're trying to make as much money as possible in a short amount of time to make up for the their purchase. Opportune was a great freaking credit card. And their customer service was excellent.
Horrible horrible experience! How unprofessional this whole company is. I never got a notice of MY Oportun credit card account being purchased by this horrible and unprofessional company that is a fraud. I will pay my debt and close this account. NEVER think of applying to this company!
