THIS WAS THEIR PITCH: Provider: New York TimesOld Plan: All AccessNew Plan: All AccessOld Monthly Rate: $ 25.00 before taxes and feesNew Monthly Rate: $ 4.00 before taxes and feesMonthly Savings: $ 21.00Total Annual Savings: $ 252.00 My response: COMPLAINT the savings is not $252. That’s the cost . If you add their fee of $100 that equals (252+100)= $352 divided by 12 months equals a monthly expense of $29 . That is 16% more than what I paid monthly last year-$25. So you are not being truthful. I will promptly discontinue our relationship If you insist I pay this rate hike . I will also complain very loudly to trust pilot , BBB and Ripoff report on how disappointing and dishonest service you have. Explicitly explaining the scam you’re running. The actual savings going from $25/ month to $21/month is $4/ month x 12= $48x 40% ( your 40% take) is $19.20 not $100 . Please immediately correct this glaring matter or I will make massive problems for you and your scam operation
The catch is Rocket Money is supposed to get rid of all these recurring bills you didn't know you had BUT Rocket Money won't close or stop those recurring bills unless you provide logins usernames and passwords to...accounts you didn't know you had.
At first, I was hugely impressed with Rocket Money's renegotiation of my subscriptions. They save me a good $300 per year -- and they usually handle everything, and communicate well.Recently, I had a more frustrating experience. A $30/mo subscription increased to $45/mo, and I put in a request to negotiate it back down, with some suggestions of things to try (e.g., I had a $1 add-on that I could cancel). They were unable to get me any monthly decrease after more than a week of trying. Then I called in myself, and just by asking what the price would be without the add-on, I learned I could reduce the price to $35/mo -- so I did. I explained to the negotiator what I did, and he insisted that they never change the subscription features, only the price. I countered that they could always ask what the price **would be** with a given change, or at least, give me a heads up that they were not going to do what I suggested, so I would know to try it. So, a C for communication on this one, but it's been an A the other times.
I really like to be able to follow my bills and get alerts- but I had them negotiate my spectrum bill. They were going to save me $20 a month, which I paid the fee in advance. So instead of it going down $20- it is going up $20. So I pay them a fee each month and then they gouge me on a payment they "negotiated" that really was an increase. I think it's a money grab for TRUST PILOT. We should be able to pay for thier service when the contracted service occurs, not in the never never land of broken promises. Now I am worried about my DATA as I am sure if they LIE about one thing... they probably sell my information too.
Terrifying. Somehow, they got my details and started cancelling my subscriptions. Until I got emails telling me that one or other subscription had been cancelled I had LITERALLY never heard of Rocket Money. Not sure they will ever adequately explain themselves.
Zero chance you will ever get a response from a human being. Cancelling your subscription to this nothing service is not even worth the effort.every single thing they "do" you can do for yourself.if you get this app, you deserve what comes next. You've been warned.
Loved the app at first... allowed them to negotiate lower rate. They compared the saved rate against the full monthly price NOT what I was paying and then charged an amount for more years than the 12 month contract. I attempted 4 times to speak with them and their response in email was a canned response and I finally gave up. I will dispute with my credit card now as well. Updated based on their customer service resolution to 4 stars. If they would have responded earlier I would not have been so critical but 9 unanswered emails is frustrating.
Although I do not use rocket money I have read some disturbing reviews (on truspilot) which brought me to the decision not to use this app..which alot of reviews report it as a scam..not only that but one review I read also makes it clear that this app is notorious for phishing, and solicitation - I would not go near a company that runs such an app- in fact I would not touch it with a 1000 foot long bargepole and I recommend to anyone else reading my review to first read reviews on such applications and then to follow my example and stay away...just because something sounds enticing does not necessarily mean it is actually safe to use.
