We worked with Savills as an agency intermediary in a business relationship that resulted in serious financial loss for our company. Despite multiple written follow-ups, Savills has failed to provide any response, clarification, or accountability regarding their role and responsibility in this matter. The complete lack of communication, especially given the seriousness of the situation, has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Mark Chick was polite, thoughtful and respectful and dealt carefully, promptly, clearly and fully with all communications and questions. He allowed us space and time to focus when we were looking around the house we bought, which I personally found useful since there is a lot of important visual information to take in, in a very limited amount of time.
Aside from one helpful representative, the service has been disappointing. There's minimal cleaning and heating in communal spaces, yet service charges are nearly £400 a month. When we raised concerns, we were directed to another housing provider. The management seems ineffective, providing little assistance. There's an additional fee for using shared facilities, which feels excessive. I improved the front area of my property, but faced issues with tenancy and unsightly plants were placed outside my window. It feels like we're trapped in our own homes, and the landlord seems to agree with the management's decisions without question. If I could rent entirely, I would, as I am responsible for any repairs despite only owning a fraction. I strongly recommend avoiding this service. Additionally, my access fob malfunctioned, and since the management is unavailable on weekends, I was unable to enter my home. It has been quite frustrating.

Our partial renewal process extended over four months, during which they occasionally took up to six weeks to reply, showing little awareness or concern for the significant stress this caused us. Earlier in the tenancy, the landlord attempted to impose nearly £500 in unlawful fees for a simple request to change a sharer, violating the £50 limit established in 2019. With limited options for agents and a tight housing market in the area, they have considerable leverage. If you choose to work with them, be cautious of illegal fees and seek advice about your rights whenever possible.
