Love the product - this is my second ScotteVest. Perfect for travel and breezing through airport security. Only issue, pocket lining is not sealed in such a way as to prevent small items from getting in other areas of the jacket making them very difficult to retrieve
Wish they used a lighter weight fabric with mesh to create vest. We live in lower Georgia where it's extremely warm an humid already. The vest would hopefully breathe better than. Should see about offering light weight wallets for women to help reduce weight in vest . Unfortunaley due all cards, membership as well as medical and credit card they add weight to vest. Overall I like the vest and use it. I've only used it a few weeks as I had to exchange the original due to sizing and I work from home and don't get out every day. Resend this in a few months for an updated evaluation.
I now have 2 shirts, 2 pants, 2 vest and three jackets that I have purchased over the last several years. Worth every penny, although I watch their sales and usually buy only then.Every one of them is excellent quality, incredibly functional and has held up incredibly well. Unquestionably, for me, the BEST feature is that I can carry iPad inconspicuously, comfortably and been accused of being a magician when I pull it out. (Disclaimer: the rumors that I am married to my iPad are almost unfounded). I use vest or coat almost 100% of the time. However one of the biggest benefits (OK, HUGE benefit) is for travel, particularly airline, where I can put all my metallic objects in the vest (if hot/warm) or coat (if cold) or insulated coat (if very cold) and lay on x ray belt. All pockets are safely zipped, with TSA-precheck and Global Traveler, I can then walk through metal detector with zero issues and when vest comes out otherside distribute in shirt and pants (or just wear on airplane and then it slip off.)After recent spine surgeries when I needed a cane, the ability to carry iPad, etc and keep hands free would have made the outerwear from SCOTTeVEST worth the price for that alone. My ONLY complaint is that coats need an instruction manual to best utilize pockets. I found a new pocket yesterday.... in a coat I've had for 2 years... LOLOh, and a LOT of effort to permit earbud use via cord, etc has been made. I don't ever USE it, but if I did, I would love those features as well. VERY, VERY well done.
I ordered this vest for a 2 month trip to Europe. After wearing it for several weeks I noticed that a coin and another small article had gotten between the shell liner and the other fabric. Try as I might I could not locate a hole where the articles could have passed through. I looked several times and had another person look several times. To retrieve the articles I had to cut a hole in one of the pockets, then get a sewing kit from a hotel and sew up the hole. So, how did the hole get there? I don't know. But, I do not think I put a hole in the vest. There should not have been any hole in this garment.
I'm a really careful online shopper, so thankfully I read a lot of reviews to determine the size of my outfit as I am Asian and my build is slightly different. Found the product to be wonderful in quality and has since been a useful companion in my travels. Thanks for making such a wonderful product and making the whole process fuss-free n easy!
