Our experience with this agency was highly disappointing, mainly due to the lack of professionalism and the way the refund process was handled.We initially found the property through Airbnb. After submitting a booking request, we were contacted directly and encouraged to cancel the Airbnb reservation and complete the payment outside the platform in exchange for a better rate. Trusting the agency, we agreed.Due to unforeseen circumstances, we cancelled the booking well in advance. The agency acknowledged the cancellation and clearly confirmed that a full refund would be processed, requesting our bank details to proceed.From that moment on, the situation became unnecessarily complicated. Communication was inconsistent and often delayed, requiring multiple follow-ups. There were long periods with no response, followed by generic replies without any concrete progress.Despite having confirmed the refund, no payment was made for a significant amount of time. This lack of transparency and follow-through reflects a concerning level of professionalism.Only after initiating a chargeback procedure with our bank did we receive a partial refund. However, the amount returned was lower than the original payment, and no clear explanation has been provided for this difference.At the same time, the property appeared to be available again, which adds further concern regarding the handling of the situation.Overall, the issue is not simply the cancellation, but the combination of poor communication, delays, and lack of clarity in the refund process.I would strongly advise future guests to keep all transactions within Airbnb and avoid direct payments outside the platform.
I recently stayed here and had a genuinely positive experience. The place felt clean, comfortable, and well organized, and the staff were friendly and professional throughout my stay. Everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out, which made the whole experience stress-free. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and I'd be happy to return in the future.

We agreed, thinking it would be smoother, but that turned out to be a mistake. A few days before our trip, the original accommodation was no longer available and we were offeref an alternative at an extra cost. The property we received did not match the description at all cleanlines was below standard, and several amenities listed were either missing or not functional. Communication was slow and often unhelpful, requiring repeated follow-ups while a partial compensation was eventually offered, it did not reflect the inconvenience and additional costs we incurred. Overall, not a reliable service. I would strongly recommend keeping bookings within trusted platforms
I recently stayed at their property and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is beautiful, especially the view and the property felt peaceful and relaxing. The rooms were clean and well maintained and even the staff were helpful whenever needed.
Very disappointing despite a villa presented as “luxury”.Change of accommodation 6 days before our departure, with relocation to a new villa for a significant additional cost.Upon arrival at the new villa, the house was not properly cleaned, which is unacceptable for this type of property.The photos are not accurate: they are clearly edited and give a misleading impression of the property.The infinity pool, which is highlighted in the listing, was half empty, which completely detracts from the experience.There was no proper follow-up, no reliable contact person, and very poor management from start to finish. We encountered several issues during the stay without ever receiving an appropriate response or solution.A compensation was provided, but it was significantly lower than the additional amount we had to pay, on top of the extra costs incurred due to the change of villa.Luxury villa on paper, but the service and overall management are far below expectations.I do not recommend Sealodge Mauritius.
We were booked in from 20 Dec 25 till 03 January 26. Upon arrival we noticed that the front door handle was broken and the entrance was decrepit in in need of attention. The accommodation was in a very poor condition and should not have been rented out in such a poor condition. The pool was green and the spa hadn't had a water change in 85 days. The outdoor furniture was mould infested. The kitchen equipment was filthy and in a poor condition, the coffee machine was faulty, this was reported to Demi the house manager and Anne Roux. Sadly 😥 no action was taken. We were family of 8 and we were all disappointed 😞. The pool was in need of repair with chipped paint. One of the rooms had a damaged toilet lid that was reported and never repaired, the same room had a rusty shower head that was replaced 2 days later, the glass sliding door was off the brackets and damaged. This was never attended to. Demi arrived 2 days later to take pics of the damages and she was appalled. She mentioned that Anne Roux was notified of the numerous damages and decrepit condition of the supposed "premium" accommodation.The shower in the room did not drain and we reported this and yet again no attention or attempt to rectify the drainage. The water would take hours to drain 🙃. The worst was yet to come....New Year eve we woke up to find that there was no water. We reported this to Demi and Anne and water was only supplied at 17:00 hours on New years days Disappointed and disgusted! We paid 11,900 Euros for a poorly managed property. Prior to booking this property Anne reassured us that all the concerns raised in a review were rectified, she lied! Nothing was repaired. Alex the manager and Anne have since informed that the they would consider a refund and that the owner and the insurance company were considering our claim. We left Mauritius January 03 and its now March 03 and there has been no communication from Sealodge. This company sadly 😥, are only out to make money and do not care. I did not want to post this review as it does have a negative impact on the owner however it need to be posted....people need to know that Sealodge are only out to make money and the management of the Villa Ayana Premium accommodation is pathetic and no maintenance of a property that presents beautiful.The biggest mistake that I made was to remove my accommodation from Booking. Com and to go directly through Sealodge! Booking.com would have been supportive and I would have been reimbursed as the property is falsely advertised.
We had an unforgettable week. Demi’s welcome was exceptional, cheerful, and attentive from the moment we arrived. The location was ideal: quiet yet close to everything. The house was clean and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after excursions. Special mention for the restaurant recommendations - we enjoyed them a lot.
