The food is delicious and the ambiance is amazing. We had Tita Bok’s spaghetti, Korean sandwich (which became my favorite now) and J&W slimmers. I highly recommend dining in
After opening the door of Kilimanjaro Cafe, the Inday was frowning already as if why I was there. She did not give me the menu so I just told her bolognese or pasta or spaghetti. She give me that look like I am a beggar there. It was very clear I said dine in as well that is why I was there. She was hesitant to give me a seat as well but she had no choice but to do so. I was waiting there for my food as normal as it was being prepared. I was surprised because my food is for takeout. I was put in a container when It was dine in. They did not bother to approach me with that mistake so I just ate my food in the container but the eyes of the other server was all on me. He looked at me like I was still there. I noticed they served the langyaw or foreigner as a princess while they did not offer me if I need something. I just ate my food but felt discriminated. After I ate, that girly boy server approached me and talked to him nicely and I had no choice but told him I felt disappointed about what I felt discrimination. When I went out, I saw them whispering about me. No one approached me with a little bit of decency.
I treated myself to a full day of wellness at this uniquely charming - Mogambo Springs in Cebu, located inside Plantation Bay, a Real Resort with a Real Spa.I began my journey with their Circadian Light Therapy Lamp, designed to enhance mood and boost daytime energy. This was followed by the Sensory Isolation Float Tank Therapy, where I drifted into a calm, restorative sleep for the full 50-minute session.Next came a full-body massage, which was incredibly rewarding and deeply relaxing. I then tried their Red Light therapy, which helped ease my back pain, and finally, I dared to experience the cold plunge—2 minutes at 11°C. I felt energized and could have gone longer, but since it was my first time, I decided to keep it short. This wellness experience was truly rejuvenating. I will definitely be back to try their Graceful Aging Protocol, an immersive 8-day program designed for holistic renewal.
So hard to say goodbye to this beautiful gorgeous resort. It’s Cebu’s Secret hidden paradise! The staff are so friendly, accommodating and super welcoming. Paige the Manager of the Kilimanjaro restaurant is so personable and makes you feel at home. She even took her time and efforts to bid farewell to us on our last day. I gave a highest overall rating for cleanliness, friendly staff, top of the line services, gorgeous fresh and saltwater pools, nice snorkeling and sports facilities, food and restaurant choices and options were available and plenty. Thank you Plantation Bay for giving us an unforgettable experience that I can call one of my happy place. 🫰❤️🫰
Our family just returned from another incredible stay at Plantation Bay Resort in Mactan, Cebu, and I can't help but share why this place continues to be our absolute favorite! The Lagoon - A Game Changer. The massive sea water lagoon right outside our room is simply magical. Unlike beach resorts where you're at the mercy of tide schedules, Plantation Bay's lagoon is always ready for a swim. This was especially perfect for our 1-year-old who absolutely loves the water! We could let her splash around without any worry about jellyfish stings, strong currents, or sudden depth changes. The peace of mind this gave us as parents was priceless. The rooms are HUGE – seriously, some of the most spacious we've encountered. But what really impressed me as someone who's admittedly a germaphobe is how squeaky clean everything was. Every surface, every corner – spotless. Plantation Bay has earned my complete trust when it comes to cleanliness standards, which is no small feat!As to dining & Activities - With so many restaurant options on property, we never felt stuck eating the same food. The variety kept every meal exciting. The resort really shines when it comes to activities too – the arcade was an absolute blockbuster hit! There's a gym available, but my husband and I preferred jogging around the resort grounds. It's incredibly runner-friendly with beautiful scenery to boot. The staff deserves special mention too – consistently friendly, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay perfect.Bottom line - we keep coming back to Plantation Bay because, quite simply, it remains incomparable and unmatched. It's the perfect blend of family-friendly safety, luxury, cleanliness, and genuine hospitality. Whether you have young children or not, this resort sets the bar impossibly high. We'll be back – that's a guarantee!
The best place to relax and unwind. I appreciate how serene the place is, away from the buzzling streets of the city. My kids enjoyed playing billiards, riding the bikes and swimming in the lagoon and freshwater pools. There is so much to do, they have a long list of activities for everyone and you'll never get bored. The staff are courteous, friendly and always ready to assist you with a smile. Even prior to arrival, registration and check in was made easy because they email you in advance for online registration, this saves me so much time. We enjoyed the world's best Kare-Kare indeed, so flavorful and satisfying. Another favorite is the Crispy Pata, we also tried Plum-Sauce Pork Pao and the slow braised pork belly definitely melt-in-your-mouth experience with it's Peking style plum sauce.I was also impressed with the 4 in 1 Thermostatic shower panel - complete with rainfall shower head, hand shower and body sprays, you can preset to your desired temperature. The Toto toilets with bidet seat - so hygienic, eco-friendly and convenient. I can't wait to come back again anytime soon. Plantation Bay will always be our Happy Place!Thank you for a great weekend staycation.
The resort is of a very good size packed with a wide range of activities which suit ppl of all age and all preferences. I did diving, field trip, gun shooting and massage. Should i stay longer I would have done whiskey tasting and also baking workshop. While leisure stroll is very pleasant within the premises, the resort also provides bikes to go around and call for golf carts is within minutes. Staff members are good looking and they have a friendly energetic vibe. Definitely come back

The word "resort" is overused, as is the word "spa". Find out what they really mean. Plantation Bay offers one of the largest privately-owned waterways in the world, set amid timeless architecture with a "down-home" feel. Yet, given our proximity to the Third Mactan Bridge, we are only 30 minutes from Cebu City or the airport- a convenience no other Mactan resort can claim.
Our staff are not just polite, but genuinely caring; our service, not merely professional, but personal. We do not rely on marble lobbies or trendy gimmicks, but on comfort, spaciousness, and old-fashioned hospitality.
And for those who travel on their stomachs- we are a foodie destination. From authentic Filipino dishes lovingly prepared, to contemporary international cuisine executed with flair, our chefs deliver consistency, creativity, and taste in equal measure.
