Fantastic trip for a group of 12 to Nantes. Great communication and the guide they send you is very helpful. Hotel located in the centre which is ideal for bars , shops and travel to the game.Would highly recommend and booking our next trip with secret match day later in the year .
Genuinely fantastic weekend away courtesy of Secret Match Day, booked for 7 people. The wait in itself added to the experience but for the real thing: Early morning flights out and late evening return for us meant 3 full days of Lille, France - beautiful city. Flew into Charleroi, Belgium and out from Charles de Galle, France which initially appeared ridiculous but the transfers we were signposted to by SMD were cheap and quick so they know their stuff. E.g. One hour direct train from Lille to CDG at a very cheap price and so we upgraded to First Class for literally a minimal sum each. Fantastic! The overall package booking was easy, the itinerary and information provided on 'announcement' was very informative about the destination and travel details but also signposting to transfer options was great. A hotel Campanile just on the edge of the city. Nice, clean, straightforward, just what you need. Yes, I've researched how much we could have done it for ourselves post event. Obviously a bit cheaper, but to be honest I'd definitely still do SMD again. The surprise element itself has massive value. And no, no affinity of any means to SMD - Yorkshireman who is frugal and says it as it is. Highly recommend.
This was our second secret match day trip. This time without top 4 league guarantee. We ended up in Vienna for Austria Vienna v LASK Linz 3rd v 4th. We saw an entertaining 2-2 draw and another country ticked off. The flights were ideal. The hotel close to the railway station and very adequate. Great information in the pack. All went smoothly. Part of the appeal is not knowing until 10 days before. Looking forward to booking again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend based on our excellent experience.
If you have someone who is football mad, this trip is a must. My 2 grandsons have just returned from their trip to Spain.Secret match day made the whole experience straightforward, everything was explained in great detail. The hotel was spotlessly clean and was in close distance to the stadium.Honestly, booking with secret match day took all the stress out of trying to organise ourselves. An outstanding trip from start to finish, our 2nd time. Even losing my passport couldn’t take away from what was a perfectly organised experience. The flight times were ideal. Transfer instructions were spot on, and the hotel exceeded expectations, offering excellent service, facilities and cleanliness all just a short walk from town. The match-day guide was again exceptional, with clear directions and then some great seats for a thrilling game. Everything hit the sweet spot, and we’re already planning next season — we’ll definitely be back for round three!
I took my 11year old son and it couldn't have gone any better.Booked as part of his Christmas, he was checking the potential fixtures for weeks. 10days before found out he was off to Brussels and he was delighted The hotel was ideal, great city and a perfect venue to attend We'll no doubt do something again in 2027Thank you
We’ve just come back from our Secret Matchday fixture in Austria and honestly… what an experience. It’s a game we would never have picked or even known about ourselves, but that’s exactly the magic of it. The fans were incredible, the stadium had such a buzz, and the whole atmosphere was electric (even if the result didn’t quite go our way!).My son Thomas and I had the best time. It felt like a real adventure from start to finish and we’ve made memories that will genuinely last a lifetime. You can tell real thought goes into choosing the fixtures – thank you for such a brilliant experience. We’re already talking about our next Secret Matchday!
