I had a fantastic experience with Selkie’s customer service! I texted them for sizing advice, and got their recommendation after providing my measurements. After ordering, I couldn’t find my confirmation email, but I sent them a screenshot from my payment and they quickly updated my email address and re-sent everything. Prompt, friendly, and efficient….I’m genuinely impressed!

I bought a $350 jacket. It was stunning and I was obsessed. In the 5 days that I had it, the jacket broke - specifically 2 rhinestones broke off. I contacted Selkie for help. Selkie offered a partial refund so I could get the rhinestones replaced locally. I agreed before Selkie told me how much they’d refund me (a huge mistake): $40 to get 2 new rhinestones and pay for time/labor which will require taking the whole jacket apart. I went to all the local tailors and they were unable to help without replacement rhinestones and tools from Selkie. After reaching back out to Selkie, they told me that nothing else could be done (no help finding a tailor, no replacement rhinestones, no replacement jacket). Therefore, I am unable to repair the jacket. It is unfortunate that Selkie cannot guarantee the quality that their price demands. I will not be buying from them again.
I had to make an exchange of an item I bought, so I texted Selkie’s customer service number. They answered within an hour, much faster than any other text customer service line I’ve ever used, and immediately provided straightforward instructions on exchanging. Besides that, the new item is shipped right away rather than me having to wait for the return to arrive at the warehouse and then them ship a new item. Their customer service agents are kind and helpful. I am a very satisfied customer!
Seller cancelled a corset I bought as part of the Buccaneer set (I bought the dress too and have received it).Because the corset was a (now cancelled) preorder, they have managed to charge me customs on an item I have not received and will not receive. I have the receipts, but explaining the customs situation to a probable customer service bot is, to quote the great Jackson Lamb, like trying to explain Norway to a dog. Also pretty annoyed that I bought a dress that was modelled with cancelled corset and only works on me with the cancelled corset. They have given no explanation for why they cancelled the corset. Buyer beware!Update: it is Feb 16th and I’ve still not seen a customs refund for the item Selkie could not be bothered to manufacture.
