I would firstly warn you not to use…

I would firstly warn you not to use this company as I have never come across a company as dishonest but in the unfortunate circumstance that you have used them and they are trying to deny you your consumer rights then make sure you don’t allow them to get away with it. They will try to say you agreed to their unfair policies on purchasing the items but please know your rights. Consumers are not allowed to have policies that deny you your consumer rights even if written into their policies. They will try to say you had to let them know about damage within 24 hours - utter rubbish. You have A LOT longer in law. They will try to say if you have attached legs you can’t now ask for a replacement- utter rubbish. Your rights are not changed by you assembling any item. They will say you need original packaging - utter rubbish, your rights are you do not need original packaging if an item arrived damaged or was of poor quality. They will try to charge you original postage costs or charges - utter rubbish, distance selling laws prevent them from doing this. It’s very easy to raise a chargeback through your bank, if this is denied (unlikely) then raise a section 75 through your bank, very easy to do. If this fails (which is almost impossible) then fill out an online small claims case (money claims) which is also really easy to do and the company will be forced to pay your filing cost of £25. Don’t let them get away with it. We bought a whole furniture set and the dressing table was missing a part of the cheap wood veneer they use on their furniture. We asked for this one piece to be replaced but they would not so we raised a chargeback through our bank for the whole set. We showed the bank the emails and they agreed the retailer is breaking the law on denying refunds. They will try to reply to this review with lies like I’ve seen below. They use every excuse like “you’ve used it”. Don’t let them fool you. Know your rights. EDIT to reply to below comment from Chic Interiors. See I did say they would try to reply with dishonesty. The items were delivered just before Christmas when most people including us were busy and the retailer closed. Non of the items were “assembled” (they came already built) or “used” as the retailer says and as you can see on below reviews they say this every time to try and deny you your legal rights. As soon as we unboxed the items and noticed the damage we straight away let the retailer know that the dressing table was damaged. As they are admitting below at this point they tried to say that because their policy is 48 hours they would not replace it. Anyone reading please remember this is AGAINST THE LAW. The retailer is not allowed to change your statutory rights and impose their own terms and conditions. By law you have a lot longer than 24/48 hours. Simply raise a chargeback, a section 75 or a small claims court. All very easy to do. The retailer will even make your job easy by admitting that they are refusing to replace due to it being over 48 hours and the banks and courts know this is illegal so you easily get your money back.

Ordered a pair of bedside tables and white ginger jar 2 days before Christmas hoping they would arrive before the big day and they did so so happy, super fast delivery and great service 🙌🏻

WARNING !! £80 Charge to return incorrect mirror.

My partner and I ordered a large round mirror with a square edged slim black surround (SKU 20818). There were multiple images with various angles showing the frame on the mirror being a flat band of metal (estimated at 3-4mm). We received a similar mirror with a wide rounded section 25mm wide. The mirror and frame looks to match a cheaper mirror sold on the site. Upon notifying shabby chic and vintage we had received the wrong mirror, we received an initial response stating the mirror was the correct mirror and the images on their website were correct. In addition they stated the web site listed the mirrors depth at 4cm which they stated was the frame's width. Further photo evidence, references to all other listings using the defined meaning of 'depth' and the oxford dictionary definition of depth did have some impact. A new angle of justification was then started ignoring all evidence and insisting the difference between their website images (3 off at multiple angles) and the received mirror was the angle of the images. No satisfactory resolution was offered apart from our paying £80 cost for returning the mirror (made up of £40 delivery + £40 return fee's). Update post Shabby Chic & Vintage reply: Your reply does not surprise and continues to hide behind anything close to an excuse. Of course the mirror frame is curved, it's on a round mirror and doesn't have corners but the frame is not described as having a rounded edge or, most importantly, as pictured. The images clearly show another mirror and there is no disclaimer saying the image isn't as pictured. The received mirror matches the design for your product 20499 which is silver and 60cm priced at £39. It is accepted this is not the same size or colour as listed but this is 100% the same design.The underlying issue is the refusal to admit that we don't have the mirror we ordered /as advertised so you can charge us to return. I wish we'd read this site before we purchased as your tactic of charging £80 for your own mistakes is evidently your standard. procedure and supported by your terms and conditions.Further update: I've now had to send a further proof of purchase screenshot to trustpilot to stop the Shabby Chic from removing this review.

I ordered a large mirror for our living room, and cannot be any happier with it. It's stunning ! I get so many compliments on it. Price was very competitive. My mirror was well packaged to avoid any breakeages. Customer service is excellent. I would highly recommend this company.
