I'm so happy with my purchase!!! The boots look amazing, super high quality, keep me warm even in the cold weather. In was a little afraid purchasing because I didn't see many reviews, but the costumer service was so good I decided to order. The package arrived within a week, during the holidays (!). Super happy, highly recommended!
I received my first pair of Shapen sandals — Orchid Bordeau. And they are gorgeous!Soft, flexible and comfortable. The color is slightly darker in real but very very beautiful.A company employee kindly helped me choose the right size (we all know how stressful ordering barefoot shoes online can be).The shoes arrived quickly in less than a week.I am happy with the purchase and the service!Thank you!
Great shoes, if you find your size right away (I recommend buying 1 size larger than their size chart). If you happen to make the same mistake I did and buy the wrong size, brace yourself for a tiring exchange procedure. If you can call it exchange, as you can only return goods you have bought. On top of that, there is no exchange form, nor a shipping label. If there was a discount at the time you bought your shoes, be ready to pay the full price now, as of course the discount period has ended by the time you receive your shoes. When they change the customer experience, I'd be happy to shop at Shapen for the rest of my life and tell all my friends and family about these great shoes. Until then, however, I'll shop elsewhere, as this is not worth the hassle.
Just got my Shapen Frosty 2.0 boots. The length is spot on, fits my foot perfectly... if I could actually get it in!I simply cannot push my foot past the ankle/instep area. The entry is incredibly narrow and tight. For a snow boot advertised as comfortable and easy to put on, this is ridiculous. My foot is completely average, and I can't even wear them.They really need to mention on the website that these are strictly for low insteps only. This has been a complete waste of time and shipping costs. Definitely won't be buying from this company again.
While Shapen present a range of good looking barefoot shoes, be aware of their return policy!It's hard to believe in this day and age, when dealing with an online company, but in the event you need to return their shoes (because they don't fit even though you followed their sizing guide!) - the onus is completely and fully on you. You are the one that has to swallow the price to return the shoes, you are the one that has to create the label and organise the courier etc. If you don't mind all this, it might be worth the risk! I definitely won't be buying from them again as one never knows for sure if it will fit or not.
Shapen Maverick are simply dangerous footwear! Totally not adjusted to autumn or winter, their sole has zero grip. I slide anytime if the surface is not e.g. concrete or asphalt. I sprained my ankle, which didn't happen with any other shoes, barefoot or not, because the sole was a bit moist and I slipped on the floor. Walking in them is a mystery. Also, they look very cheap... Leather outside (interior is artificial) bends and hurts my calf. On photos you don't see the shoe in motion - because already after 1st use the wrinkles create ugly marks on the shoe. Would not recommend - are not comfortable, dangerous to use because 0 grip, and look and feel cheap.
I just received the Poppy, (beautiful! And pretty well made) and the Cozy 2.0. The Cozy are, well, not Cozy. The leather is awfully thin, the fur inside has rough patches (burnt or glued?) , you can feel the stitches in the fur under the tongue, I have other fur lined barefoot shoes that I could wear without socks, but with the cozy, I need thick socks as not to feel everything that went wrong with the lining... still thinking if I should just return them, they are really pretty barefoot shoes, but the quality is questionable at best.
