Overall the vehicle worked well and the staff were courteous, but there were several issues with the rental experience that I believe should be addressed.
First, we booked a VW Tiguan or equivalent, but received a Peugeot 3008. While the car itself drove well, the luggage capacity is clearly smaller than that of a Tiguan. We were travelling from Malpensa during the ski season with winter tyres and ski equipment, which is a very common situation for customers renting cars at this airport. For this type of trip, luggage space is essential, and in that respect the Peugeot 3008 cannot reasonably be considered equivalent to a Tiguan.
Second, the waiting time at pickup was excessive. We had to wait approximately one hour before receiving the vehicle. After arriving from a flight and travelling with family and ski equipment, this was quite frustrating and significantly delayed our departure.
Third, the ski rack solution offered did not appear sufficiently practical or secure. The system was based on magnetic mounts and external attachments. Although the staff assured us it was safe, I personally did not feel comfortable using it due to the potential risk of damage to our skis. As a result, we did not use the rack, and the additional fee charged for this option therefore did not feel justified.
Apart from these points, the car itself functioned well during the trip. However, I would strongly recommend reviewing the classification of “equivalent” vehicles for customers travelling with ski equipment, improving the pickup process to reduce waiting times, and reconsidering the ski rack solution offered to customers.
They gave me a unsafe and poorly maintained car that caused me to lose my flight. They didn't answer phone calls. The car wasn't insured with the road assistance firm they gave us. The road assistance partners barely spoke English. Sicily by car themselves are utterly incompetent in all areas and failed at every single point they could. They are slow to answer emails. Simply choose another company. Never do business with them.

The agent requested to see my actual hotel reservation, the address wasn't enough. She also took pictures of my outbound flight reservation. When I raised my concern she said either that or no car. Shameful! I rent car every couple of months first time ever this intrusive policy is thrown at me.
Steer clear of this service in Malta – unethical practices leading to a €2,500 loss. This was easily the worst car rental experience we've ever encountered. We faced a financial setback of €2,500 due to what we believe are deceptive and exploitative practices. We collected the vehicle around 1:00 AM. The inspection was conducted in a dimly lit parking area, making it nearly impossible to see anything clearly. Thankfully, we recorded a video during pickup. Upon returning the car, it was positioned under bright neon lights, with an employee using a handheld lamp just inches from the vehicle. They then alleged to see “damage” on the car — marks that were invisible to us. Even after recording another video on-site, nothing was apparent. For context, we've rented cars hundreds of times with various services globally, and this has never happened to us before. Additionally, the car was thoroughly cleaned, inside and out, before it was returned, which makes these accusations even more perplexing. With our flight leaving in an hour and a €2,100 deposit already frozen, we had no real option but to acquiesce. We deeply regret not checking reviews beforehand. My recommendation: if you can, take a taxi — but do NOT rent from this service.
I arrived 20 minutes early to collect the vehicle, only to encounter an unfriendly individual at the desk. He insisted that I would receive the car at the scheduled time of 11, despite my presence. When I inquired about the reason for the delay, he simply dismissed me with, 'see you at 11.'
The wait times here are significantly shorter than at other places, and the staff genuinely remember their customers. Even though we don't visit often, we frequently fly to this airport to see family, and they consistently take great care of us. The vehicles are also a fantastic value.
I had a fantastic experience! I rented from them twice (once in one location and another time for a one-way trip). The staff were excellent; they offered insurance but weren't pushy when I declined. They recommended recording the car for damage at pick-up and drop-off, which I did, and there were no unexpected charges. They did check for my International Drivers Permit, which is necessary if stopped by authorities. I would absolutely rent from them again!
Although we typically rent from this service at the airport, this time the car return was problematic. We had a large SUV, and parking in the designated area was very challenging. I refused to park in a narrow spot near a column to avoid damaging the vehicle. Unfortunately, the manager handling the situation was incredibly rude, shouting at us and acting arrogantly, stating it wasn't her problem. This was not the same manager who later inspected our vehicle.
