Review Time
This is my third order with them. Frames were on back order the last two times. They were not the lowest price but did price match. Indicated they normally do not price match on back ordered items but did it anyway. Very responsive to emails. I have never purchased lenses from them as I typically have an issue with progressive lenses and prefer to purchase at Costco. Would have given them 5 stars if they were the lowest price to begin with.
I have had glasses since second grade and Simply Eyeglasses have been the absolute best company I have ever purchased from because of their price and the plethora of frames and lenses to choose from (not to mention their awesome customer service). I was a little nervous about ordering glasses online because I have a complicated prescription but they made it easy. I'll never buy my glasses anywhere else!
I was very impressed. Spoke with customer service on the phone several times regarding frame availability, shipping, etc. They were very professional, helpful, and pleasant. Frames were received by my optometrist ahead of schedule. Everything was perfect. HIghest recommendation.
I bought two sets of prescription glasses (sunglasses and "inside" glasses)...both included progressive prescriptions. I have about 5 years of history with SimplyEyeglasses with multiple purchases. I am very satisfied with their selection of rims and the quality of the finished product. However, I am less than satisfied with the timeliness of delivery. My last order took over a month to complete and my previous orders averaged 3 to 4 weeks per order. The web site is deficient in providing order status/progress updates between the initial order and shipping. To the positive, customer relations is generally responsive and engaging however it appears the business model response for delayed deliveries is to blame it on the prescription manufacturer (apparently subcontracted). To be honest, I hold SimpleEyeglasses responsible for the entire process end-to-end and have been disappointed with the deflection on orders gone bad (my last 3). I believe a revamped tracking system (a lot like Domino's pizza making tracker) would go a long way in mitigating this problem. I want to like SimplyEyeglasses but they really need to work on their subcontractor relationships and tracking platform...absent an improvement in these two areas I am likely to research other options going forward.
