Update: After I wrote a review here, the support team reached out and refunded the one-month subscription that I was mistakenly kept on, which I appreciate it. _________________________I used this app for a few days and found it disappointing. It’s biased and pushes you to certain pages regardless of your responses. The subscription cancellation process is tricky: I thought I had unsubscribed by providing a reason and closing the tab, but it turns out you also need to write your own explanation and complete a few more steps. If you don’t, you’re not fully unsubscribed and will get charged again. There’s no refund, even if you contact them immediately. Overall, be aware of these issues before subscribing.
I’d give a negative if that was an option. The app itself is not very helpful or user friendly. Their refund policy is non existent. I had accidentally selected an add-on and they wouldn’t refund me for that. And when I contacted them, they said the subscription is cancelled and will not be renewed but no refund. 3 months later I’m charged again and apparently they had only cancelled the add-on which is very confusing. First time that I am so frustrated with an online purchase.
They will automatically charge you an additionally fee/"app" that was never mentioned. Check your charge history and emails. Super scummy. Edit: An update - I'm generally satisfied with their customer service; they are responsive and issued me a refund, albeit, after some communication. I still don't appreciate the layout and misleading tactics of their app. The "main" app itself, seems pretty lackluster and not what I expected, but I am willing to give it a shot.
Relatively okay content, but I reached a point on a particular subject I was interested in where I couldn't get past the recap chapter and move on to start Unit 4, it kept coming up with 'journey pit stop. We're crafting new lessons for you'.Which is a rip off, because the remaining chapters are all shown, but locked. I have paid for the subscription and it won't allow me access. I thought maybe I had completed too many units & it slowly releases a few each day, but no. These have been locked and I've been stuck at the 'journey pit stop' for weeks now & haven't been able to access the chapters I want to move onto! Edit: Now they're apologising for not having the content ready for the chapters that are yet to be unlocked....?I've paid for the full app and I'm not getting full access because they haven't finished the app content, but are showing there's another 6 chapters (with 5 segments in each), so I can't access the final 30segments and they want me to keep paying each month and wait for them to be released. No thankyou. Bye
I became intrigued by their ads on Facebook, so I subscribed to their service for USD 9.99 to test it for a month. Shortly after, a button appeared offering to add Skillscast. Unfortunately, I didn't realize there was an additional charge of USD 14.59. By the time I noticed, it was too late to cancel. I am now requesting a refund for the USD 14.59 charge, but they claim it is non-refundable, even though I contacted them within 5 mins of noticing my mistake and after seeing my bank notification of the additional charge. I had no intention of adding this service if I had known there would be an additional charge. Is that hard to understand?I do not recommend this app, as it feels like extortion. If you want people to stay, it should be due to the quality of your product, not through these tactics. Additionally, I am using an Android device and wanted to test the service solely with the initial USD 9.99 charge. Do not recommend me to use a browser, one reason I bought this is I intend to use it on mobile. So ur not meeting my expectation anymore I plan to write to Australia Consumer Affairs because I am sure I am not the only one facing this issue. I highly do not recommend this product. I know you have cancellation policy, the reason I am not intending you return then 14.99, just the 9 dollars, because the skillcast was press by mistake!!!!
