What a rip off company. Feels like I'm never going to pay it off despite seeing a decent share of my wage going out every month. I'm unfortunate to be on the initial Plan 1 which means it won't be written off until I'm 65, and the interest just seems neverending and just increased and increased when I wasn't earning enough to pay it off. Almost half of the payments I made last year went on interest, it seems worse than a mortgage. To take on a loan like this at such a young age without realising the consequences isn't good. In hindsight I wish I had never taken the loan

I am not sure where to go next I do not earn any money but they are not accepting my evidence. I have tried to defer but they say because I am self-employed with an accountant the evidence I can provide is sufficient. I have provided a copy of the hmrc information a signed letter from my accountant and a copy of my profit and loss account. I really do not know where to go now I fear I am about to loose everything because they will not accept my defferment

It seems that SLC are short of money and yet the high paid execs still enjoy a good financial screw. When you seek a full refund for money which has been stolen from your wage packet. particularly when you have not reached the financial threshold!! It now seem they are telling people to wait !!! Sorry this is B/s when given a legitimate claim for payment lack of funds is no excuse!! By law they must follow their own rules!! I have now applied interest to the sums outstand to me bank of england base!! If they fail to act get the MP to refer to Parliamentary ombudsman. Young people who have used Trustpilot have shown what SLC are. Shame martin lewis have never had a loan or faced dealing with this bunch of thugs. No stars
