I purchased the Captain’s Choice ChromaPop sunglasses in 2017 and liked the very much but eventually the top of both lenses began to delaminate so I talked to the customer service and they told me to file a warranty claim and see what happens. In just a matter of a few days Smith Optics sent me a voucher to cover almost all of the glasses that I liked. The Captains Choice glasses were no longer a product in there line so I chose the Guide’s Choice ChromaPop glass glasses. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and deeply Thank You Smith Optics for all that you did for me. In fact I like the clarity of the glass much better than the plastic lenses.Tom
Absolut miserabel Costumer Service. Send back my Order about 2 Month ago. Never get back any Informations about it. Send 4 E-Mails to the Costumer Service. No Answer. Tried to call the European HQ. Only Italian. Only thing I can see is, that my Packet is arriving at Smith Optics 1,5 months ago.Never ever Smith again!!!!!!!!
Bought a pair of Smith sunglasses - Lowdown w/Cromapop lens' approximately 8/9 years ago. Really liked them, the fit, the style, the lens quality, all of it.About a year ago I noticed that the lens seemed to be delaminating in spots, so I contacted customer service regarding their lifetime warranty. Smith got back to me very quickly and confirmed that it was indeed a manufactures defect and the sunglasses would be covered under their lifetime warranty! No need for a receipt - just photographic proof of the their brand, Cromapop lens mark and model number, plus photos of the damage was all that was needed! They gave me full credit (what the Lowdown model sells for on their website) towards the purchase of any sunglass model of my choosing and I didn't have to pay for shipping!Ultimately, I went with a different model as the Lowdown models sizing has changed since my original purchase. But I'm thrilled with my new ones as much as the previous ones!Great customer service through the entire process, made it easy and simple to warranty and a great company that stands behind their name - even without the original receipt!
Ordered a Nexus MIPS helmet.Tried to get them to sent it to me, but so far no luck. Have been trying to get im contact with customers support for 2 weeks but that has also failed. They just ask for the order number and then nothing. Now I'm trying to cancel the order but that seems to be as difficult as getting Smith to send an order.Such a shame as they have brilliant products just non existent order handling and costumer service. Now 2 months later I have had to cancel the order twice and they have just charged my credit card a third time. So now I have canceled my credit card and changed all my subscriptions and so on.If I could lower my rating I would.
Would never purchase again. One of the silicone nose pads came off after a year or so.It's not covered under the warranty and Smith won't help with advising what adhesive is required to glue it back on.Now I have to spend $500 on a new eye test and glasses for the sake of one nose pad.
2 defect products out of 2 possibleSmith goggles have a very nice design and are "good goggles", why I have bought them twice. However, both times the product was defect. For the first pair, the defect was not fully noticeable and resulted in the product breaking after 2 years (meaning no warranty, Smith doesn't take responsibility for this defect). For the other one which just arrived, other model, the product was defect in almost the same way*. I'm "lucky" I noticed it before using/trying to use the product, and that I bought it from a retailer with good return policy. Overall, I'm not happy with this and I urge you to closely examine your new Smith goggles for defects before using them.*The defect is hard to explain, but it has to do with the way the headband plastic parts are attached to the goggles. In both cases, 1/4 connection points was either attached in the wrong place or not attached at all. This creates a much bigger stress for these points which, if the product is usable, makes it break much much faster than it should.
