Made an appointment to select skis. W as specific about needs. Told I would see Mike in Covent Garden. Wasn't there. Johanna waffled about this and that, we don't have skis, but they wasted my trip. Five staff and no customer in the shop but they were too busy talking with one another to bother.
Cancelled my order for no good reason. Really annoys me when companies don't honour your order.Edit to reply: Response just confirms my original review.."discrepancy with the product"..what does that even mean. And why is the exact same product for sale still? Lies, lies, lies.
I recently purchased a jacket from the Snow + Rock online store and upon opening it looking in the one zipped pocket was an old slip that had been through the wash!Shocked to know that retailers are repackaging returned and used items and selling them as new stock!Careful what you buy here as it may have been worn already!!
Would have given no stars if able to! Placed an order to be delivered through DPD, who had historical information that I had a 'safe place' - that being in our gas box or under a large flower pot at our back door. neither of these places were used, with the package being left outside our back door - clearly photographed. Snow and Rock said they were happy for DPD to close the case as the package was left in my 'safe place' - NO IT WASN'T. I have lost £245 with no help from Snow and Rock to resolve and DPD saying they've closed the case!! Won't be using Snow and Rock again.
Very disappointed with the climbing stock that is available, seems fine if you are entry level but for experienced small woman nothing available. Very poor stock. Staff in store are aware of this but unable to help as it seems its deemed by head office what is stocked. I've been trying for 6 months to purchase harness or shoes my size with vouchers.
Went into the London Monument store to buy a hat and gloves, to keep warm in the very cold April weather! I'm an trail Ultra runner participating in winter events, so have a good knowledge of brands and kit. I chose a Rab hat at £20 and pair of Icebreaker Merino glove liners at £27, which are always usefuls. I was then charged £50! I pointed this out to the cashier, who said they can charge more than it says on the ticket! I pointed out that is false advertising. The cashier then went into a long boring explanation and I could contact customer services to verify she was right. I then asked for a refund, at which point she said she would credit me the difference of £2! I scoffed and pointed out that the difference was £3, she took that as offensive and told me not to be rude! I did get a £3 credit, not yet showing in my account.I later checked on Citizens Advice, businesses can charge more than on the label but only if they point this out before taking payment. However, if they take payment without making you aware of the price difference, they are obliged to credit you the difference. Overall the most pathetic shopping experience I've had. Snow and Rock need to improve their staff training and ensure products are correctly priced!Buy lots of outdoor kit, never been into a Snow and Rock before, might occasionally use Cotswold Outdoors but they are not always competitively priced, won't now use either in the future.
