Phone lines aren’t connected and they’ll just tell you they’re busy. Despite the message clearly saying that the line is not in use. They will then change your renewal price despite you having a clear quote from them and say it’s because your card declined. They just lie through their teeth. Not worth your time.
Ignore the good reviews, these people have never tried to claim!!! When my son fell sick on holiday they seemed great at first, in regular contact and all seemed well. However as time goes on you start getting pushed round in circles of a never ending claim approval process being asked the same questions over and over again (without sharing my sons illness it’s like your claiming for a broken leg and they ask if it was injury or sickness after 4 weeks of having the claim and having every document and medical report under the sun). There is always another delaying question, which then adds five days to the process, then you think right I’m getting somewhere, for it then to go from the approvals team to the authorisation team, and when you push to say surely that’s the same thing, no one will actually tell you what the difference is, it’s all smoke and mirrors. They also don’t respond or action emails consistently, which is another reason for a further 8 day delay. Getting through on the phone has been no problem but they talk in riddles, every advisor tells you something different or lies, I actually got it in writing on Monday that I would receive my claim in 10 working days which clearly is not going to happen based on the stupid question I was asked yesterday which now adds another 5 days. I thought the most stressful part was seeing my son in hospital in a foreign country scared for his health, now that seems like the easy bit compared to dealing with AXA. Seriously do your research into who will actually come good on the policy when faced with the most awful of situations.
Horrible customer service- I took out a policy on 7th May to start on the 10th June I ended up cancelling this on the 4th June. I ended up calling today because I realised I hadn’t been given a refund for a policy that hadn’t even started! I was denied this request even though my policy didn’t even start ridiculous steal of money
