I would not give this company 1 star, stay well away, they take your money, and will not pay out of you have to claim, they make all the excuses, then close your claim without telling you, STAY WELL AWAY this company is a absolute joke don’t think it’s even legit,
Terrible company, been waiting over a month now for my claim to be approved! Quick to take your money but don’t want to pay you if you have any problems while you’re away! I’ve sent everything they have requested! I will be contacting trading standards!
After my review about a straight forward claim date of claim 26th June 2024, I phoned yesterday after being told a decision would be made between 7am-11an yesterday!!!! to find out nothing had been sent!!! Was told I have to a further 5 days to wait!!! as had been sent to the medical team! It was sent to them months back!! I have already made a formal complaint! AVOID absoulte j9ke of a company!!!!! AVOID!!!! I'm going to contact the Financial Ombudsman myself as now had the 6 weeks to look into my claim!!! Whatever you do DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!
This company do not even deserve -5 stars, shockingly unprofessional. Having insurance is pointless with them, they won’t pay out, they’ll find any form of small print to not pay!!! Absolute bunch of cowboys. Took out the silver policy back in April, had to curtail our holiday as my partner suffered severe food poisoning. After 16 weeks they told me that the claim had been declined based on my partner who is was 36 at the time of travelling had used an inhaler when she was 5 therefore we hadn’t mentioned she had asthma in the medical conditions when taking out the policy, which she doesn’t. After asking to speak to managers which after three weeks never returned any calls, the people on the phone lines are beyond useless, have given us 5 different reasons why the claim was denied. We then paid for my partners PMH and a letter form the doctors to say she hasn’t had any asthma related issues for the past 5 years, they’ve now came back for a second time declining the claim based on the fact we didn’t notify them whilst we was away regarding the curtailment. Absolute shocking company, they shouldn’t be allowed to offer travel insurance, I’m now going to pursue this with the obudsman and the fca, I will not let this rest. They have done anything and everything necessary to get out of this genuine claim! Do not give this company your time or money, as it’s a complete waste of time!!!! Absolutely fuming
Very disappointed with the claims process. Had a claim in since May 28th 2024 due to Myself falling ill at the airport an hour before departure. We were suppose to spend 10days in Florida but it never went to plan. Southdowns have asked for several docments and finally sent our claim off to the medical team 26th July 2024. I am now on 43 working days (10weeks) since the medical team have started the review and still no update. Rang up several times and was told a new wait time each time (originally it was 10 working days now they said 60 working days). It seems my claim isnt handled by one person and being reviewed by several people yet the call handlers can not contact the medical team to confirm. We are thousands out of pocket with no answers on if we will get the money back, the stress this claim has caused is unreal which hasnt helped my condition. There is no way to track the claim and keep updated on the process and the team you ring for updates dont seem to have any idea how to handle the situation. We have a complaint in already and will then take it to the ombudsman as i believe changes need to be made so another person does not have to go through this in the future.
