Just had a really bad experience in Sports Direct Liverpool. I bought a pair of Skechers for work as I have a foot injury. They didn’t have any half sizes, so I had to go up a size. I bought them thinking that I wouldn’t find a better fit as I’ve been looking a while.
At the checkout I asked if I could return them at any store, and they agreed, but since I asked about returning them, they didn’t say that customers only get a credit note, which is really unusual. I wouldn’t have bought them if I knew that.
I then found a half size better fit elsewhere, so instantly returned them. I was told I could only have an exchange or credit note, or keep my trainers and to and fro with customer service.
I’ve been given a flimsy credit note as I’ve got better things to do than go back any forth with Sports Direct customer services, but what am I supposed to do with it? I’m a 56 year old woman who is not down with the kids. I don’t shop in Sports Direct.
This is the first time in my life that I’ve never been given a refund for something I bought an hour earlier. Apparently it’s on the receipt. But surely if I’ve got a receipt in my hand it’s too late for me to choose whether I accept those terms?
There was no movement on the refund, and I’m now down £160 for a pair of Skechers and a bit of till roll with a credit note.
I’ll definitely be avoiding Sports Direct from now on, but they won’t care as they made me aware of this when I was trying to get a refund.
Beware! Make sure you 100% want something before you buy it, as you won’t get a refund. Or, better still, don’t shop somewhere where they choose to be one of a minute handful, perhaps the only, retailer that shaft their customers like this.

My order took weeks to arrive, and when it did, many items were the wrong size or damaged. Getting a refund was incredibly frustrating, as no one took responsibility. It felt like they had no regard for customers. I wouldn't trust this service with my money again, even if it were free.
I ordered jeans for international delivery, and they were supposed to arrive a week ago, but nothing has come. Now, I see they are being returned to sender without any explanation. I've sent three emails to the service requesting a refund for the undelivered order, but I've heard nothing back. The delivery and customer service are nonexistent. This will definitely be my last purchase. Please refund my money.
I wouldn't even give this service one star. The staff are rude and unhelpful. The online store process is convoluted; I had to pay for delivery and another fee for a return, which I can't do in-store. There's no phone support, so I have to rely on a slow web chat service, which is unhelpful.
I'm appalled that I paid £11.99 for next day delivery for a new pair of trainers, and two days later, I'm still waiting. I can't get any answers from customer service. I have mental health issues that prevent me from leaving home, so I ordered my son's shoes. The service is shocking, and I will return the trainers when they arrive and take my business elsewhere.

I visited a store today and was assisted by a very knowledgeable representative. He helped us find the sports shoes we needed and discussed options for my daughter's shin pain, sharing his own sporting experience. He was positive and friendly, and we left with exactly what we needed at a price we could afford. Thank you!
