I went to a store to buy a running top and leggings for my daughter for Christmas, assuming I could return them if they didn't fit. When I returned to the store with my daughter, they didn't have the right size, but still refused to refund my money, offering a credit note instead, which is useless since they had nothing in her size. They claimed that if I had ordered online, I could have received a refund, but since I bought them in-store, they wouldn't refund. This is nonsense, as I was buying them as a gift. I've had to go elsewhere to find what I need, spending extra money I can't afford. I won't be returning to this store.
The service was utterly disappointing. The staff treated me like an inconvenience rather than a customer, showing no respect or professionalism. The store was dirty, disorganized, and felt like a place for unwanted items. My order was a complete mess—missing items, damaged goods, and the worst part was the lack of support when I tried to get a refund. Customer service was filled with excuses and no accountability. Shopping here is a waste of time and money. If you value your sanity, steer clear of this service.
I made a purchase a week ago for two pairs of trainers and paid via Frasers, including an additional £5 for click and collect at a store near my home.Since then, I have received no confirmation whatsoever — no order number, no email, and no updates about my purchase.I contacted customer service by email to request clarification and received no response, which is completely unacceptable. As a customer, I have no proof of purchase and no support.Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have had issues with this store. I had a bad experience in the past and decided to give it another chance — something I now deeply regret. On top of that, the in-store experience is also very poor. The staff are often rude, unhelpful, and clearly uninterested in assisting customers.Due to the lack of communication, absence of customer support, and overall poor experience, I do not recommend this store and will not be shopping here again.
I think it’s absolutely ridiculous and abysmal with the return policies…brought my two children the same trainers online, both sizes came up smaller than average so kept the biggest size for my youngest but needed to exchange the smaller size, took them into store but were refused any exchange or refund as the trainers were purchased online and had to do the return online only, keeping in mind initially delivery cost was £5 on top of goods, once I got the returns online sorted there was another fee to return them of another £5..scamming people, what a backwards process!
Shocking customer service. Visited the Scarborough store today. Asked the assistant for some shoes which were on display. He got the shoes, dumped them on a bench and walked off. No customer service or interaction. I wanted to buy the shoes if they were a good fit and whilst 2 assistants just stood 4 yards back offered no help what so ever. I left the store and bought the exact same shoes on Amazon for 10 quid less. I for one won’t be going to this dump of a shop ever again.
Bought £100 Oboz walking shoes from Sports Direct. Within six weeks, the inner heel lining had completely worn through during normal use.Sports Direct inspected the shoes and refused a refund, claiming “no manufacturing fault” and relying on their returns policy. That ignores the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which requires goods to be of satisfactory quality and durable. Walking shoes at this price point that fail in a few weeks clearly are not! What makes this worse is another pair of Oboz bought by my partner at the same time, and failing in the same way, was refunded by Sports Direct?! Same product, same fault, different outcome. But with no explanation from Sports Direct of course. They are very difficult to contact. Customer Service are dismissive and appears mostly interested in shutting customers down as opposed to applying the law.Be aware that if something goes wrong, you may have to fight for rights you are legally entitled to!
My issue is with Sports Direct Online. One star flatters them. This was my first time using their site and it will be my last. I ordered two items from the site. I elected to collect at my local store. On collection I was provided with a collection receipt. On returning home I found the T shirt in the package was not what I ordered. I ordered a Lonsdale branded T shirt with a specific logo on the chest. The T shirt I received was a plain T shirt. I checked the E mail sent on my confirmation of order and the T shirt shown was a plain grey T shirt. I had NOT clicked on this. I checked my collection receipt. On the receipt issued by the store the product code for the T shirt to be collected was the Lonsdale brand I had clicked on at the time of ordering. Then followed a frustrating period of trying to contact 'customer service'. The site link directed to for this either froze or crashed for periods. Eventually I managed to get a message off to them. After about two days I got a reply from a rep. I supplied all details including screen shots of the email received on ordering and the collection receipt which showed the package should contain a Lonsdale brand T shirt. They insisted I had ordered the plain grey ( which I had not)I explained that IF I had ordered the plain T shirt then the product code should reflect that on the collection receipt. However the product code on the collection slip showed the product that I did order! They simply refused to even acknowledge the question or provide an answer. After a series of back and forth ( after which I started to wonder if I was dealing with an actual person and in fact AI) as the content was so 'cut and paste' and repetitive, I realised I was wasting my time.Fortunately the amount involved was not excessive.Lesson learned.
