We had an amazing week in the city as a family of five, enjoying the easy contactless payment for transport, which many European cities could learn from. Unfortunately, this positive experience was overshadowed by a dreadful ordeal with the service. After several changes on the subway, we reached the station to catch the train. Arriving a few minutes early, we quickly moved through the gates and got to the right coaches. Upon arrival at the airport, we attempted to exit using our credit card and boarding pass, but it didn't work. We noticed a long queue of others facing the same issue. Everyone was treated unfairly in an unacceptable manner. Charging £69 per person is ridiculous and certainly puts a damper on the end of a holiday. There were no clear signs or announcements at the station, making it feel like a deliberate setup to exploit passengers.
