Review Time
The incorrect item was delivered. I ordered a half-moon floor truncking which was supposed to have been in aluminium finish, instead a plastic truncking was delivered. I did contact the Randburg branch which upon I requested a bigger option in aluminium, hense I was told that he would see what other options are available and that he would get back to me. Yesterday noting happened and this morning another call was made from my approach. This time around the person was apparently not available at the time and that as soon as he became available that he would give me a call. Still no call received.
Ordered a lamp that was advertised in stock in March. Story after story about couriers losing it, suppliers replacing, blah blah. It is now December and I still dont have a refund. The stories keep compounding about espionage, fraud, etc to dodge refunding customers yet they still keep taking orders and not delivering. You have been warned!
On Friday,having ordered pool filter sand for collection, I arrived at their premises but noticed the invoice was for playpen sand. Molebatsi, the owner, reprimanded the sales person and said that as there was no filter sand on the premises it would have to be sourced from the warehouse, whereafter, considering the inconvenience to me, it would be freely delivered to my home later that day (which didn't happen) or on Monday. On Monday a.m. my attempts to contact Molebatsi being unsuccessful I checked Reviews posted about STEP and was horrified to realise I had been scammed. HOWEVER.....................mid afternoon he phoned to confirm my address and personally delivered the sand around 5p.m.We had quite a chat and I conclude Molebatsi to be a real gentleman and an honest, hardworking, considerate businessman.I will definitely buy from STEP again.... and their pricing is more than competitive.
