Absolutely one of the worst businesses…

Absolutely one of the worst businesses I’ve ever dealt with! Place is consistently downhill ever since they’ve taken over. Almost crashed my car driving in yesterday because they haven’t removed the snow adequately, I took video and pictures. And no, I’m not inexperienced in regards to driving….and the snow/wind stopped 4 days ago. Access doors have been inaccessible in numerous occasions, people use these for businesses and need the access. No apologies and no refund at all. I just received my THIRD email regarding insurance coverage which I complied with from the beginning……they’ve illegally charged me for their bs insurance the second time. It took so many phone calls, emails, and visits to finally get it fixed……and I just received another email today stating they do not have anything on file for me and are going to charge me again!!!! Where’s my compensation for my time and stress of dealing with the most ignorant company I’ve ever dealt with!!! And now they’re raising the rent for each unit, I sincerely hope there is some type of lawsuit coming up for all of this soon.

Great new StoreSpace facility

The facility at 30 Sea Cliff Avenue, Glen Cove, is impeccable. Clean, well illuminated, and most of all extremely courteous manager and staff. Nick received me with a smile and made my experience there extremely pleasant. He accompanied to my new unit, and even found me one that was right opposite the one I was already renting. I could not have a better experience and welcome. Also Jackie, who made the reservation for me and is an assistant manager, was fast in finding me a unit, and very pleasant to deal with. I highly recommend this location!

Will not return Security deposit

We moved out of our unit in advance of our lease end date and provided ample notice of termination. The unit was left impeccable. We made numerous requests for refund of the security deposit to no avail. Their collections person Jailyn told me “check in mail” for past 6 weeks. Update: after contacting senior management- check was finally issued.

They haven’t canceled my account

The unit was fine however their automatic billing is corrupt. I moved out and canceled my account and after three customer service calls I’m stilled being billed! I have two unnecessary invoices that have become a nuisance to continue to research.

Love the Knoxville facility; but corporate never sent the advertised Amazon gift card.

I must say that the staff and facilities of the Store Space Self Storage in Knoxville, TN (Randolph Street) were terrific. My poor rating has to do with the fact that when I booked the unit, the Store Space website was advertising a $50 gift card with booking. I had a unit from mid-July 2022 through mid-September. I was told that the gift card was automatically issued after 30 days. When 30 days came and went I called the main Store Space customer service and was told that they issued the card at set intervals and I could expect to receive mine on August 19. We confirmed my email address at that time. Suffice it to say, it never came. I made three additional calls and, each time, was told that someone would call me back after they looked into it--including the last time being told that they were bumping it up to the District Manager and I would definitely get a call back. To this day, I have never received a call back or the gift card. Businesses shouldn't offer promotions if they don't plan to stand by them. Store Space's Customer Service while pleasant, was ineffective. And clearly the District Manager could care less. I feel bad that the local store, which was wonderful to deal with, wasn't supported by the larger Store Space.

Rude with Rats!

I had a contract with Home Star Storage. The facility was sold to Store Space Storage and that where the problems started. My rent jumped from 106 to 195 in less than 12 months. Insurance was added to my rent without even checking if I had insurance for the unit. Finally, the storage units had rats infestation. The location never reached out to the me (or anyone) to make them aware of the infestation. They were rude and I was told on several occasions the district manager would reach out to me. That never happened, Annoy Store Space Storage at all cost!

Beware STORESPACE

storespace owned the location at 381 Veterans Memorial Parkway in Mableton,GA. when they took the space over from Selfstorage in 2021, Storespace RAISED the rent $50 with NO warning. Storespace has sold the property to Lifestorage in June 2022. I have moved out because, my unit has been inhabited with RATS in my unit; and homeless people living in the vacant units. How can you NOT know (if you have active cameras like you say you do) you have a large population of RATS and homeless in your units. I have had to file a claim against Lifestorage because STORESPACE has left a mess for them without taking care of the pest problem. Beware STORESPACE Self Storage.
