My daughter has been residing in Student Cribs accommodation since September 2024. There have been a few issues with one particular older ‘student.’ After several phone calls to Student Cribs I established that said house mate is not actually a student. When completing the form for accommodation all you have to do is provide Student Cribs with a ‘student number’ and university you attend - Student Cribs do not confirm or verify this information with the university or any other institute. Very concerning.
I was living in Manchester accommodation last year through student cribs and it was a horrible stressful experience. When we got the keys the flat hadn’t been cleaned or even hoovered and all furniture was broken, they said this was Becuase they still needed to decorate which would be done by end of july , it still wasn’t done when we properly moved in in September. They ignored numerous emails and refused to give a partial refund even though it was unliveable to begin with. The only good thing was the maintenance team after we had moved in, you can easily report damaged or broken things and the maintenance team were really nice and helpful.
