The most unhinged customer experience ever.
I booked an appointment for today. Upon arrival, I kid you not, this was the entire interaction, verbatim:
_Did you bring all your documents?
_Uhm, I think so? Could you help me double check it?
_Here (gives me a business card), email everything to us. If you have anything paper, put it here (gives me an envelope and a form).
And he walked away.
WHY would I pay $169 CAD for an in-person appointment, only to be told to email my documents and be done with it?
This makes absolutely no sense.

Throughout my life, I have only used a service for my personal income taxes once. I opted for the company, and they mishandled my filing by submitting a Section 216 tax return late, which ended up costing me thousands. This service was disappointing!
I am incredibly dissatisfied with my recent interaction with a representative from the company. I called at 1:27 p.m. to reach an accountant. The individual who answered confirmed my phone number and promised to call back in five minutes. Fifteen minutes went by without a call. When I called again, he apologized and asked for another 5–10 minutes, claiming he was occupied with another client. After another wait, he returned my call about 10 minutes later, asking for my number again, which he had already confirmed. When I reminded him, he admitted, “To be honest, I didn’t write it down; I was busy.” This isn’t honesty; it’s negligence. Such carelessness and lack of accountability illustrate the decline of customer service in Canada. I have been a customer for over a decade, and I can confidently say that the level of professionalism has significantly decreased. It’s disheartening to see reputable companies allowing uncommitted employees to tarnish their reputation and erode public trust. I expect this issue to be taken seriously, with appropriate actions and compensation for the inconvenience. I also plan to share my experience publicly once resolved, not to attack, but to advocate for improved service standards in this country, as it deserves much better. Additionally, I have reported this incident to the customer care department, and once the case is closed, I will publish a video discussing the resolution and actions taken against the individual on my social media channel, where I have a significant following.
I encountered a problem with my taxes not being filed correctly at a local office. I scheduled a re-filing appointment at another location, where the staff promptly resolved my issue and re-filed my documents on the spot. They were very helpful.
My experience has been very disappointing, especially regarding an issue from a previous tax assessment. We used their services and opted for an advance on our tax refund, for which we paid a fee. Unfortunately, there was a discrepancy caused by the company's understanding of tax rules. Despite following their agent's guidance, I was held responsible for the difference between their assessment and the tax authority's. I sought a refund for the service fee due to this issue but was refused. This reflects poor customer service. If I am following professional advice, I expect accountability for mistakes, not just demands for additional payment. I would recommend others look for a different provider for tax preparation.
