we engaged with the Guiseley branch to fit both carpets and flooring. The carpets went broadly okay - they mis-measured (quite fundamental to the process!) one of the rooms the result was the carpet was too small and as a result they had to come back and refit which was obviously inconvenient.
On the wooden flooring (£3k in total so a sizeable order) they had to come back 3 plus times to resolve issue which are still on-going. They have offered a refund of the fitting fee, essentially an acknowledgment that the product or fitting is incorrect, however this was promised December (bearing in mind the floor was actually fitted October) and has still not been received. We are now in the process of launching a charge back on our credit card. Throughout this process the customer service has been non-existent. Avoid at all costs.
Rea Scott-Hedges from the Catford branch was brilliant. She was very helpful and helped us purchase our tiles. She was also very funny which was a bonus! Thank you Rea!
Sandy was second to none, his advise was perfect, he helped us with our sizes and arranged visits to suit our working day. The service he provided was spot on from the type of carpet required in each area of our house to the specific underlay required. I have purchased many a carpet in my time but the support and advice this time was 5* . Well done and a great asset to the
company. Will definetely be back.

We had a visit from Evan back in August - he was a perfect salesperson - he explained the different variants of carpet we could get but also didn’t try to upsell us a more expensive carpet as he understood we’d be selling the flat soon.
Donna at Putney Tapi was also great when it came to ordering and gave us the opportunity to try it with the underlay we’d chosen to ensure we were happy.

I have a speech impairment and I get a little nervous when I talk to unfamiliar people. I went into tapi and I had a lovely conversation with the sales person, he made me feel at ease and took the time to allow me to speak.
When the carpet fitter arrived, they were really friendly and made the whole experience amazing.
Winston was very helpful at Nottingham Tapi. He helped me find colours and showed me a large range of samples. Paul came out to measure - also great. I visited twice and didn’t feel pressured to make a decision.
Around two years prior we had carpet from John Lewis laid across all upstairs rooms, landing, and staircase. A water leak ruined the carpet in one bedroom and Tapi were fantastic, from Daryl on the sales team assisting us in find the exact same carpet and colour, through to installation by three very efficient fitters who did a superb job.
I ordered new carpets from the Oxford branch of Tapi. Their helpful representative visited and I booked a fitting for 16th February. I was told that it was impossible to guarantee precisely when the fitters would arrive that day, but I would probably be their first call.
I therefore stayed in from 9.30 a.m. on 16th February. By 4 p.m., I wondered if the fitters were coming, so I telephoned the shop. Tapi told me that I was not in the diary and doubted that I had made a booking at all. When confronted with email evidence, they conceded that I had booked and said that the information had not been transferred from the email to their diary. They offered no apology until I demanded one. Then Tapi said that the fitters would be with me in half an hour (i.e, at 4.40 p.m.). At 5.55 p.m., I called again to complain very vigorously that no-one had come.
Eventually the fitters arrived around 6.30 p.m. I am happy to report that they worked hard until 9.30 p.m. to lay the carpets - but Tapi cannot take much credit for this, as it insists that the fitters are "independent contractors".
One further point: at the time I made the booking, the Tapi representative told me (almost apologetically) that I should expect to be inundated with emails inviting me to submit reviews about Tapi to ratings sites and he asked me please to take the trouble to submit at least one. In fact, as a dissatisfied customer, I have received no emails inviting me to review Tapi's service. This possibly supplies an insight into how Tapi sustains a 4.8 rating on Trustpilot.
