Review Time
I discovered the reviews about lengthy delivery times only after ordering an Ipad Air. I opted for the 'rush delivery' at an extra cost of £20 and started to doubt my decision. However, I placed my order on December 31st, and it arrived on January 6th, which was just 3 working days and during the New Year period, so I was quite impressed with the speed. The Ipad was sealed and significantly cheaper than local prices. I would have rated them with 5 stars if there had been more proactive updates regarding the shipping; I had to check with the postal service daily to stay informed, as we've become accustomed to the excellent communication from other platforms.

The Ipad is sealed and was significantly cheaper than the UK prices. I wouldhave given them a 5 star review if there had been more proactive updates on the shipping - I had to go to Royal Mail and check every day to see what was happening, we have all been spoilt by Amazon's amazing comms!
Having used Techinthebasket 2 times previously so had no worries about the delivery time or the product itself. Ordered the product and to my surprise it arrived 4 days later. I have now saved over £300 on items I have purchased. If I was a first time user of the company I would have avoided based on the reviews.My experiences have been very good.
Took a while to arrive, but it did arrive in the end. That's the gamble you are willing to take to get items at such a cheap rate.Ordered: 12 December, 2025 (After 10PM)Received: 30 December, 2025Just a quick note. I had to email to Customer Service to receive my DPD tracking number (which I then received on 19th of December), and DPD Tracking number only updated on the 29th of December. I, then, received the item 1 day later.My advice to everybody would be to just be patient. Item ships from Hongkong, so expect 2-3 weeks delivery time.
UPDATE ... NO UPDATE .STILL ignoring our emails, purchased 8th December , promised a pre christmas delivery , nothing - no delivery, no responseAVOID , this is a small company in Hong Kong that are scamming people from overseas. I have now contacted my bank and PayPal.
My initial contact stated that the tracking number had not received an update in over 10 days to which I recieved a response for saying not to worry, I should have received the tracking number in the first few days. I went back on this stating that yes I did receive the tracking number but the problem was that is hasn't updated at all. To this they were unresponsive for 3 days and then sent a follow up email to which has not had a response for another 3 days. Raised a ticket with Paypal now, waiting to see if they'll a respond to that. Had to order from somwhere else after looking like a right fool on Christmas.
Be careful using this company, I order mid November, and I am still awaiting the order. After many, many,many emails to them they no say it is lost in transit and they're reordering. They 100% do not have a 24/7 customer service team, I would guess all based outside the UK based on the reply times of their emails.They have ruined Christmas for my family now and I still don't know what is happening with the parcel.I am writing on here to inform others of the poor service, but also giving techinthebasket.com a chance to reply and resolve the issue, since they don't reply to emails, if this work I will update others of a better way to get support from them techinthebasket.com please resolve or have another 1 star rating, it is not good enough.Edit: absolutely no communication was received from the company until I got PayPal involved for a refund (PayPal were great! Really helpful) but I will never, ever, ever deal with this company again. They don't appear to have a UK company they trade through IDS (Hong Kong) was disvoled back in Oct 23 and techinthebasket does not exist, which are the two companies that send the info and receipts. As much as I may have had good experience with them prior to 2023 I fear this was a different company that are now scammers left right and centre. No phone contact, despite a number given out, and definitely 100% NO 24/7 customer service as they state! DO NOT RISK IT without PayPal or similar company to back you up
Highly disappointed, ordered our daughter's main Christmas present and received no confirmation email or any tracking information. After contacting multiple time they finally responded to say it's been lost in transit and now we have no iPad or no refund so that's my daughter's Christmas ruined. No good enough!!
Cheap price online but you do wait up to 8 working days. I read many 1 star reviews, but this was after I had purchased, these reviews did worry me. However, I emailed the team, had a response that said do not worry, it will be there before Christmas. It turned up as promised 22 December. I’ve had zero issues, quality is good.Basics are, if you want to save money, give it 2 weeks to get to you, simple. Well done tech in the basket.
