A Terrible Experience with the Service

The service is incredibly frustrating and appears to prioritize overcharging customers without accepting responsibility for their errors. They add an extra fee of $50 MXN each month just for managing usage on a limited data plan. Compared to other providers, this company offers less service at a higher cost in Mexico, negatively impacting the economy and growth. Such practices are unacceptable.

Telcel: force of Satan

Telcel is a wretched, criminal, usurious force of Satan that will use every possible method to overbill you while never acceding to make an adjustment for any mistake they make. They charge $50 MXN extra per month for the “favor” of controlling usage on a limited data plan. Telcel provides less service at higher cost to Mexico than nearly any cellular provider in the world, and inhibits its country’s economy and growth. This company should be put to death.

I am so tired of telcel the service is…

I am so tired of telcel the service is always weak and slow but so many times there is just NO service you can't do anything no phone calls no internet nothing. Please nobody switch to telcel even if it looks like good deals that they have but it still does not help you anything you can't call or use internet, and this is for all of Santa Rita colony, la Nueva Paz Nuevo Namiquipa and more👎🏾

HORRIBLE

HORRIBLE! Constant promo & advertising text from them. Data runs out WAY too quickly. Sells your # to telemarketers, so you get constant phone calls from bots. And will just steal $$$. If you don't make a phone call in a week, they will just wipe you # and take whatever remaining minutes you have left.

Hidden fees

I had to cancel my contract early. In the contract they write that the cancellation cost is 20% of the remaining contract, which would be about 1200 peso, but there was over 1800 pesos additionally in administrative cost and taxes, so basically 50% cancellation cost! I was also very sure that I asked back then for a 12 month contract, but it turned out to be a 24 month contract. There is also no way to keep the number or transfer the esim from abroad to another number. At the end prepaid is cheaper.

SCAM OPERATION stole my credit information and charged my card

Scam operation stole my credit information and charged my card. Only way I found out is that my bank alerted me to the charge. Now I need to go through process of blocking charge and clearing my record.

The worst for travel eSIM

Pros: went to a local store in CDMX and a wonderful person made every attempt help me buy the website for tourists and the local shops are COMPLETELY SEPARATE. COMPLETELY. Cons: everything. Bought a eSIM tourista online. Got a receipt. Then nothing for 2 hours. Went back to the shop and the person there worked with online customer service for about 30 min. She gave them all my receipt information and they still couldn’t help. The response was that they will email me my eSIM info within 2-3 hours. BUT if they don’t they may call me either today or tomorrow. Side note … F&$k u apple for getting rid of physical sims to make travel super stupid.

Very Disappointing

I reside in Mexico for much of the year and have a local phone number and Telcel plan. The plan supposedly includes calls, texting and data, the data connection is never available. They also charge an additional annual fee for the privilege of being a customer!!!!

Misleading information

I purchased the esim they offer for tourists. When I tried to do an international call for an emergency, the automated voice said I didn't have balance for that. I added money to my balance and it automatically converted that into more GB instead of keeping the balance for calls. When I called costumer service they couldn't give me a solution, they just told me the esim is new and it doesn't support yet having a balance for calls, which is the opposite of what the automated voice said. I can't trust this company anymore

Prepaid SIM only good for Social Media!

I sought out and got a 1 month prepaid SIM card during my vacation in Los Cabos because I read that Telcel has the best coverage. The whole point was to have the freedom to call Ubers and be able to GPS myself around the area. But some idiot decided that the only internet access travelers should have is to social media! So during my travels I could not use Google Maps or Uber - just Facebook and Instagram. Really feel gipped off by the company. Their customer service is non existent. You call their 1800 number and they say "Simple Mobile" has taken over their customer service. You call Simple Mobile, and they're like, "Er, you have the wrong company!" Get it together Telcel! Your services sucks.
