Norwich and Salisbury branches: Not taking cash is a red flag, it's for staff benefit not customers. Never seen worse queues because of cash as claimed. Union coffee was great choice and quality. Mostly served very well but not that consistent. Maybe staff need some more training. Strangers of Norwich are great barista trainers.Prices are over inflated but you do get great coffee. Food has suffered shrinkage making overall value for money worsen.
Visited the Cornish Bakery at Abbey Churchyard Bath before my walking tour. Never again. Asked where I could find the ladies toilet. The unpleasantly given response was “go to Marks & Spencer’s down the road” ??? In the meantime my companions had placed an order. The coffee which eventually was served was lukewarm and so bitter it was barely drinkable. Left my coffee and went to the nearest place with toilet facilities and pleasant staff- Costa coffee
Site at Gunwharf Quays portsmouth - pop up in centre square whilst new store is being constructed, v busy day non stop queue we went late afternoon and the team were somehow still friendly and welcoming and made me a great flat white. Would have liked to leave a tip but apparently against policy so they cheerfully asked for a review instead so here it is! Thank you 🤩
The review is for the Cornish Bakery in Clarks Village Somerset.Service here is poor, but credit to some of the staff they are trying. When one of the employees called back to who seemed like the manager, she came out arms folded and rudely asked what did he want.I would add that the tables were a mess, no one came out to tidy them especially on a very hot day.Coffee was also too hot and just tasted bitter.Shame as it is well placed within the shopping village but brings the whole place down.
Had a really lovely lunch at Cornish Bakery in Bude. Pasty was excellent and the ham hock roll was very tasty. Followed by a really yummy lemon and fruit pastry. My favourite is actually Cornish pudding but have to try something else from time to time. The staff including Audrey and James are very welcoming and friendly. Love visiting this cafe.
I have visited Lymington twice from IOW and tgis is my "go to" coffee shop. They do the most amazing croissant that has a Nutella like filling. I have no idea of the calories and tbh I really don't care. The staff are lovely but Luke went above and beyond today as I had my Mum with me. We both have limited mobility and kindly helped being our food/drinks to the table. Can't wait to visit again and if ever you decide you want another branch, please consider IOW
