I've been a customer of the Detox Market for over a decade. They're products and customer service have always been top notch. Some of the low score reviews are from racist bigots and not from actual customers.

the takesumi detox deodorant

I ordered a deodorant (the takesumi detox charcoal). I have used it before and it has been amazing. This time the colour was totally different and the product smelled like something was wrong. Not good in any way and not what it used to smell. I aproached the customer service. The said it is completely normal to have this kind of difference between different batches in colour and odor and it was completely safe to use the product. That is it, no refund not even a new product to replace the obviously spoiled product in my hands. And the funny thing in this all is that where they say the product is completely ok and safe to use they do not let me rewiev it in the e-mail they send me. Only the other product that I ordered alonside with the deodorant! I'm sorry, I cannot recommend this kind of service to anyone and it is a shame for these kinds of product are hard to find, atleast in Europe!

Hey guess what? I just used my credit card and it worked and I tried to use it to buy a product to take care of myself and it was declined. Shocker! Guess I won't be ordering from you guys anymore unless you let me order from you then I'll give you business:)

AVOID AVOID AVOID THEM Poor customer care. Poor delivery service, after a decade of business. Says delivered but was not left in a safe space or drop box... When I asked for a replacement I was told no. Scam artists. For all I know the delivery person stole it, as I went to check minutes after the doorbell rang and my office overlooks the front door right at the window. Maybe change of management. Hopefully they go out of business soon and an organization with integrity and loyalty replaces them. I'll make sure you let people know to not waste their time or money there.

Their shampoo is NOT nourishing at all it harmed my hair

I purchased the True Botanicals Nourishing Shampoo and I had it shipped through my package forwarding company in the US and then to Mexico.I tried the shampoo and is not even CLOSE to being nourishing. It dried out my hair and I tried it a second time just to see if a second try would be better and it wasn't.First they couldn't understand English, then they wouldn't issue me a refund unless I returned it which obviously I couldn't. Shipping to the US from Mexico is at least $40 for a tiny item, way more for this because it's a bit bigger and heavier. They didn't care at all that their shampoo harmed my hair and obviously the nourishing part is a lie. They are a terrible company and not just for this reason. I saw images that show that they support the war we are in and the evils who are causing this war.

RETURNS BEWARE- SHADY BUSINESS

RETURNS BEWARE- SHADY BUSINESS I purchased a Kosas serum and unfortunately it dried out my skin after just one use so I decided to return it. With discount I paid $48.80 (plus tax) , when I got my refund it was only for $26.39 so I emailed them to rectify the error. As it turns out I was charged $24.85 as a shipping label fee, that is a massive fee for such a small item. This fee was not made clear and as a result I'm out nearly 50% of the value of the product. I was happy to find an alternative to Sephora but after this experience of robbing their customers they have lost me as a customer. If there is a fee to return items fine, but that needs to be made clear. Both the fact that there will be a fee and what that fee will be. When I hear the word fee, I typically think $5, $25 is beyond rude and super shady. Had I known that the this was going to be the fee I would have just kept it and resold it myself. I hope they change this, I love the philosophy of Detox Market but this experience really makes me question if they're as honest and as authentic as they make themselves out to be. I hope they take this and actually choose to change their practices.

Kind of felt ripped off by the samples

I’m sure the products are probably legit, but I ordered a small samples pack $7.99 + shipping, which is excessive in hindsight, knowing what I received, and knowing most companies GIVE samples away for free normally) to try it out before committing to a product(s). Most samples I’ve received from other companies are enough to actually get a decent idea of how the products work with your skin/hair/etc. But these are so tiny, it’s not even worth using. I got a conditionner, a styler and a leave-in sample. Two were in jars so small, I only had maybe a pea-sized amount to use, and the vial of oil (the styler) was literally labeled “6oz”, yet contained only a few drops. Kind of felt ripped off
