The customer service that I received from Claire was personal and professional. An email from Lucas “the owner” was icing on the cake. And once my AP band arrived, the hype I had read was spot on! The only drawback is having to deal with all of the compliments I keep having to reply to from strangers! lOL
I had a very disappointing experience with The Mod Projects.After a long delivery wait, I received what was clearly a used and defective product, despite ordering a new item. The protective plastic was already removed, the case had visible paint chips, sharp unfinished inner edges, and loose/rattling components. Several items were missing or broken, including tools and a bonus watch band that was advertised as part of the package. The bands included also did not match what was shown on the website.Functionally, the product was poorly designed — the case blocked the microphone and speakers, making the watch unusable as intended. This was not a minor cosmetic issue; the product arrived damaged, incomplete, and not fit for use.While customer service was polite in tone, the resolution process was extremely frustrating. Despite acknowledging that the product arrived defective and incomplete, the company refused to provide a prepaid return shipping label, even though their own refund policy states that defective items qualify for one. Instead, I was repeatedly offered partial refunds or free accessories, or told to pay international return shipping to Europe myself for a full refund.This back-and-forth dragged on for days, with shifting explanations and no clear accountability. I ultimately had to threaten escalation to get the issue taken seriously.For a company that markets itself as premium, this experience fell far short. Receiving a used, damaged product and then being asked to pay to return it is unacceptable.I would not recommend The Mod Projects based on my experience, and I strongly advise others to be cautious.
I can’t even give this a 1 star to be honest. It’s clear from other reviews that many people have experienced the same issue as me. I have now been waiting for 4 months for a refund from something they received back in August. Every time I email they say it will be processed, making false promises that my refund is being sorted and sent to people higher up to be actioned. Then I wait another 10 days and still nothing. Poor quality product not even wearable!! And now I’m £150 out of pocket. Absolute scam, disgusting company. Don’t buy from them you’ll be very disappointed and end up like the rest of us trying to get a refund.
Avoid at all costs. Chinese scammers send you very low quality rubbish. Make you jump through hoops to return the products then never refund. The reply below is absolute BS ! They haven’t sent any emails or refunded anything. As above , utter scummy scammers and liars. AVOID at all costs.It’s this easy - refund me today. I can withdraw my review. Otherwise , your replies are just more lies. It really is that simple. If you are still waiting for a refund months after returning their junk - leave a review on Trustpilot and suddenly they acknowledge your return and cough up. AVOID !
Absolutely terrible quality product and no refund. The same “Claire “ that appears in other reviews here made her appearance in my case too. It’s just an ai response to keep you on the hook. Don’t go near this company. They are scammers.Also they seem to have a great trustpilot rating until you actually check yourself so they are lying and using trust pilot to sell their terrible product. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!
Purchased the watch faces but they are using a 3rd party app to install and they do not stay on the screen the whole time you have to double click the side button and go back onto the app for your watch face to appearVery misleading
