The vet was really lovely, explained everything thoroughly, so helpful, she made my little cat feel at ease very quickly, gave me great advice, the pet health club is fantastic value for money and a huge helping hand with it including unlimited consultations and the uear round worming amd flea treatment included.All in all very happy with the pet health clubat hunts veterinary clinic

Initial Thoughts on the Plus Plan

I have just signed up and selected the Plus option. I'm uncertain if I've made the right choice since it seems quite pricey for three pets. There was no documentation at the vet to clarify the plan, compare ratings, or outline the benefits of choosing the Plus option. My pets are older and typically don't receive vaccinations, so I'm not sure about the value of starting regular shots now. I was hoping to access discounted services like dental cleanings, which older pets might need.

Helpful plan but lacks empathy in tough situations

The plan has been beneficial for budgeting my dog's parasite treatment and annual vaccinations by spreading costs. However, I rate it 2 stars as I need to cancel my plan due to having to rehome my dog unexpectedly. Despite being with the plan for about 5 years, I discovered it renews every 12 months, and cancelling during this period incurs a £60 fee. Rehoming my dog feels like a significant loss, and the lack of empathy during this emotional time is disappointing. I didn't foresee this situation, and while I understand it’s a business, a little compassion would have gone a long way. In the future, I will save the money myself instead of using this service. Additionally, if you change your personal details, be proactive in contacting the service, as I learned the hard way that important communications were missed. I found myself frustrated when speaking to the support team, as their responses felt impersonal. Each situation is unique, and I believe they should treat customers as individuals, considering waiving fees or finding compromises. The overall experience has not been satisfactory, and I hope they improve their customer service approach.

Lack of understanding regarding my cancellation reason

I have found the plan helpful as it helps me budget for my dog's parasite treatment and annual vaccinations by spreading the costs. However, I can only give 2 stars as I need to cancel my plan due to the unfortunate necessity of rehoming my dog. Despite being with the plan for around 5 years, it renews every 12 months. Cancelling during this contract incurs a £60 charge. Although rehoming my dog feels like a loss, the response I received lacked empathy for my situation. I couldn't have predicted this outcome. For me, it feels like losing a pet, yet there was no willingness to reduce or waive the fee. If I decide to get another dog in the future, I will not use the service again and will save the money myself. Additionally, if you change personal details, don’t expect your veterinary office to inform the service; it’s your responsibility to reach out, as I learned the hard way when I missed important communications. During this stressful time, I became frustrated on the phone due to the lack of understanding from the support team, for which I apologize, but it felt as though the organization did not truly care about the emotional turmoil I was experiencing. Each situation is unique; I urge you to listen to your customers, treat them as individuals, and consider showing flexibility with fees under special circumstances. The overall experience was not satisfactory. Please refrain from sending standard replies about terms and conditions or asking me to contact customer service again, as I have already done that. Remarkable savings for a dog owner 🥰🥰

I spoke with a representative who was incredibly helpful and kind, managing to reinstate my plan within minutes without upfront costs, with coverage starting immediately. I would highly recommend this plan as it covers health shots, repeat prescriptions, and nail clipping. This plan has saved me a significant amount and provides real peace of mind.

Unacceptable charges and poor customer service

I signed up for the Essentials plan for my dog at £22.99 per month. When reviewing my direct debits, I noticed an amount exceeding £121. I promptly canceled it, relieved I caught it in time. However, I encountered a rude representative who intimidated me, threatening a £60 cancellation fee without explaining the overcharge. He condescendingly insisted the charge was £22.99, leading me to reluctantly reinstate the direct debit. I received confirmation of £22.99 for the first payment due around 30th November. However, I found another charge of £32.02. I canceled it again and emailed them, receiving a swift cancellation confirmation. I will be closely monitoring my account, as I have little trust in this company. I wonder how many others have been overcharged without realizing it. They operate under several names. Be cautious and avoid this company. I received a response stating they are sorry for the confusion and the experience. They claim the plan should only be charged at the agreed price and want to investigate. However, after two instances of overcharging and intimidation, I see no point in further communication. I expect to speak with someone responsible for this issue. I also recently received an email demanding £60 for 'early cancellation.' What is this company thinking? They breached the contract twice by attempting to charge more than the agreed £22.99 per month, and now they have the audacity to charge me £60.

Absolutely enjoying this service

I haven’t been using it for long, but I recently adopted a kitten and, as a student, having a membership that allows me to get her vaccinated, chipped, and receive regular flea and worm treatments at no extra cost is truly amazing! Paying £21 a month is so much more manageable and worth it compared to the outrageous prices quoted without it! I can rest easy knowing my kitten is healthy and happy. So far, I highly recommend it :) I LOVE IT.
