STAY AWAY! Allow me to join the legions of people hoodwinked by this joke of a company. Received a jacket (took forever) only to find it is way too small despite my ordering a size up (as recommended) No reasonable return policy whatsoever. I am still waiting for shoes I ordered and doubt I’ll ever see them. I have no reason to believe they would be as advertised anyway.
Scam. This is a classic one: I ordered what I believed to be quality coats, judging by the website photos, only to realize that I had been conned. The quality is horrible and the return process is carefully constructed to prevent returns. Traumatic experience.
Shipping took a full month. When product arrived it was cheap and weird. Has random strings off the pockets which would be hazardous and snaps on pockets which didn’t fasten to anything. Felt like SHEIN quality.
Please do not order from this site. Low quality products with terrible sizing.
Once you will receive the order 2-3 weeks, you have a few days the send the item back at your own fee. They offer a 15% refund instead of sending the item back which is a total steal.
Avoid at all cost!
This company employs deceptive and misleading advertising. The product I received was more like a cheaply made Halloween costume than the advertised wool suit jacket. Hopefully this review prevents others from ordering as well.
The company did not respect its 5-minute cancellation policy (we tried to cancel within 4 minutes and they wrote back saying we were outside the time limit- we have proof). Once they refused to cancel the order (we tried to cancel because the adress was wrong), they asked us for the good adress and STILL sent the package to the wrong adress. The package was actually delivered (surprisingly), but not AT ALL as advertised. Ordered a Large, fit like a Small. CHEAP materials, zero tags so impossible to resell on Marketplace. This company is a scam, I really wish I had read these reviews before buying from them. I asked Google Ads to remove them as they are misrepresenting their products and the customer service is a nightmare.
I purchased a large winter coat for my husband from this so-called business…If you go on their website, it clearly states that they ship from Toronto Ontario… and that they have free shipping all across Canada.. leading you to believe they are Canadian company.. also stating easy uncomplicated returns and exchanges. What a load of crap.!! funny thing is is that I contacted their customer service department because I did a lot of research before I bought his coat because I wanted to get the right size. They don’t have any sizing charts on their website so I emailed the customer service rep to make sure I was buying him the right size according to his height and weight, etc. They assured me a large would be a good size for his height and weight… and that it would be easy to do an exchange if need be. Well, it took a couple weeks to get the coat… I thought I would’ve gotten it sooner because it was shipping from within Canada.. but it was over the holidays so I just assumed that was the reason. Anyway, I finally got the coat it came rolled up in this small ball wrapped in plastic.. and when I seen it, I thought there’s no way there’s a man’s winter coat in that small ball. Silly me, I thought it would come nicely packaged in a box like most winter coats.🙄 and sure enough it was a very small coat.. the label said it was a large .. but there’s no way it was a man’s large.. my husband could barely get it on and he needs another 12 inches in order for him to do it up!!The sizing was more like an extra small or sizing for children. I am a petite woman, and it was even tight on my hips.!! that’s how small it was. Plus, the quality was not great.. and the fur on the hood was not nearly as nice as the one they had on their website. I contacted them because I wanted to return it for a full refund and explained how disappointed I was and frustrated that they sent me such a grossly misrepresented product and that I didn’t expect to pay for the return shipping because of their errors, they contacted me a couple days later And acted like they were all concerned and wanted me to measure the jacket because they were all concerned that it was some sort of a mixup or a flaw and that they would send me another jacket for free and I could keep the one I had and not have to worry about returning it. So I took all the measurements from the coat they sent me and sent them a a long email stating that the measurements clearly didn’t represent a large man’s size. And if it was possible, if they could send me the specs on a.XL XXL & XXXL that way I could make an informed decision on a replacement coat for my husband . Well, it took another couple days…. And all of a sudden, their attitude changed and there acting like they were all concerned that it was so frustrating that the sizing was off… but now there was no mention of them replacing the coat and they just wanted me to return the coat to China!! They sent me a really long complicated email about if it doesn’t go to the right place we won’t refund you blah blah blah.. and the best thing is for you to accept a 15% refund!! Can you imagine?!! They clearly created the problem for me and their solution was for them to rip me off even further!! It’s bad enough that they wasted so much of my time as it is . My only regret was that I didn’t research the reviews before I bought from them, which will never happen again.. The thing is their website. Looks like a genuine Canadian website. You would never think you were buying anything from China… people beware these scammers are getting really crafty at making their websites look legit that’s where they spend all their money.. clearly the money isn’t being spent on the quality of product or customer service. Their main game is to make money money money… no matter what it takes.
Like many others have mentioned, I strongly advise against purchasing from this seller. After looking into it, I discovered that this so-called store is actually just a private residence in France. The VAT number is tied to an individual who has no employees. This person claims to primarily sell to the Canadian market, yet my order was shipped directly from China. It took over three weeks to arrive, the quality was subpar, and the size was incorrect—definitely not worth the amount I paid. Numerous similar 'stores' are emerging online, and I fell for it... They may have a nice website, but I ended up wasting both time and money.
Intentionally MisleadingThey call themselves the True North Gentleman, and giving shipping times as Next day Toronto Eastern Time. They ship from China. The company website states the company is in France. It is not. The company is in China. They indicate the sizing is as per USA size guides, it is not. Sizing guide doesnt work at all.My husband is a medium-large. I ordered a large coat. It fits like a small or xsmall. I ordered a pair of boots for my daughter's boyfriend. He is a 12/13 shoe size. I ordered a 13 and it was too small. I advised the company and they sent me this. "Please be advised that customs clearance procedures in China can be complex. Please note that declaring an amount over 10 euros may incur taxes at our central department store. Should this occur, they cannot accept the package and would result in sending the package back to the sender. They may conduct random inspections or targeted checks on incoming packages. This can increase the likelihood of items being seized. Bear in mind that we do not cover such risks. Etc. They highly discourage returns and then suggested I keep the items and they would give me 15% refund? They state they will give you a refund, yet make the refund process almost impossible. All the items they sell are valued over 10 Euros. It's a complete waste of money. From the name of the shop, to the time of shipping, to the sizing, they lead you to believe they are in Canada which couldn't be further from the truth.
