Working with Howard has been great. His coaching style is very effective, and what I appreciate most is his flexibility he adapts the training to what works best for me. It makes the whole process really enjoyable and motivating.
Howard bring consistency and volume into training in a manageable way, I work nights shifts and anyone that does will know how being able to manage that is very hard and Howard tailors this with my 5on 3 off night rota. Trust his process and youll be in the best shape of your life. I highly recommend him if you want a top coach.
I first asked Howard to coach me in preparation for the winter spine challenger north, and both training and the event itself went brilliantly. Howard clearly cares about his athletes and is invested in their progress, He’s easy to talk to, super knowledgeable and understands the complexities of combining training with work and family life. If Howard doesn’t have personal experience of the event you’ve entered, he’ll research it - I really feel that he’s goes the extra mile that a lot of coaches wouldn’t. I think he’s great and I honestly look forward to our catchups.
Howard is the best coach!! In October 2024 I couldn’t run 5km without stopping. In September 2025 I ran my first ultramarathon. I would not have been able to do this without Howard. As a newbie to running, I have learned so much from him. From the importance of speed work, and slow long runs to strength and nutrition. Howard provides a detailed weekly plan with a balance of running and strength training, basing it around my busy work and life schedule. Whether this is in the lead up to races or maintenance fitness when I don’t have anything booked. He regularly checks in with me and we have monthly calls to go over the plan and to answer any questions I have. Thanks so much Howard! Excited for the next year of running and pushing myself!!
I have been working with Howard since October 2024. When I started, I had an in-depth initial assessment discussing my history & goals, also taking into account my lifestyle, work life & other commitments. Sessions are well planned & the explanations are clear. The daily feedback you get is great to keep you on track & the monthly 1:1 sessions are really useful as you can also discuss nutrition & specific race prep. Howard is approachable & quick to reply if you have questions, queries or need a session changing. In the time I have been working with Howard I feel fitter & much more prepared to do the longer distance races I have signed up to.
He changed my running for the best! His knowledge on nutrition has completely changed my fueling which has helped me exceed all my expectations with running. With the right his recommendation I managed to run a 17:24 5km and a 3:10 marathon with limited training. Strongly recommend!!
I signed up with Howard after illness and injury meant I'd had sporadic breaks from running and was finding it hard to regain fitness. I love the routine, the sessions he adapts to my needs and I'm hopefully getting back to a stronger me where I feel better equipped to race again. Howard's always on the end of the phone willing to answer any of my questions.
I have been with Howard for 2 years now, seeking out professional help and guidance to train properly coming off the back of knee surgery. Howard has continued to provide me with the right programs, advice and support when I've needed it and listened to my complaints haha.
