I visited a shop for a shoe repair on 6th Nov 2025. The staff member assessed my shoes and provided a quote. After some discussion, I opted to pay upon collection, which I later changed to Sunday. Upon my arrival on Monday, I found the shop closed temporarily. When I finally was attended to, my shoes were declared beyond repair and I was not informed beforehand. The quality of service seemed lacking, and it was clear my shoes suffered due to poor workmanship. I would advise against this location.
At the Edgbaston location, my £125 boots, which I had worn only a couple of times, were damaged during a heel repair. The customer service was slow and unhelpful regarding compensation for the damage caused. It took 2.5 weeks of follow-up to even discuss a refund for the repair. I would not recommend this place for shoe repairs.
I understand the cost-saving measure, but why are only plastic heel replacements offered for high-heeled shoes and boots? The original rubber was much safer and more comfortable. A choice for customers would be appreciated; I had to seek alternatives.
