I look forward to a long relationship with many upgrades on the way. What drew me to your site besides no one else had the rims I wanted was the ability to look at others builds filtered by the modification you were looking for. Your parts are tracked through then build process and then shipped to your door by a freight carrier!
After saving up for some time, I decided to treat myself and purchase new rims. This was a rare splurge, but I was drawn in by the company's promise of a "guarantee to fit."Once I put them on, I found that the front wheel did not fit correctly. I contacted the company immediately, only to be met with rudeness and no assistance. They claimed that their "guarantee to fit" referred only to the lug nuts. Despite my suggestion of store credit, as I still wanted rims for my vehicle, they refused to help and recommended I resell the rims locally.I am incredibly disappointed and do not recommend doing business with this company.This company is a joke. After they made a comment here asking for info to reach out to me. I have not heard 1 peep from them. They just responded to make it seem they care about what happens. All this company wants is your money. They don’t care if what they state on their site is correct or not. Once they have your money they move on.You will also notice multiple bad experiences with wheels not fitting on customer vehicles even though their site guarantees fit.Update 3-24-2025After writing reviews about my experience Fitment contacted me and we came to a resolution. If the customer service rep would have worked with me in the beginning would have been a better experience.
I loved my wheel and tire set up except Trail Built did a horrible ceramic coating job. My wheels are not permanently stained. They only offered a $150 refund from a $3,600 purchase... they messed up a 5 set of wheels... Wheels also arrived a week after estimate time even after I paid for rushed shipping.
I would like to express how happy I was with the purchasing process but the website didn’t allow me to select the sidewall that I wanted facing out (Radar Renegades have two specific sidewalls). The day after I ordered my wheels and tires, I sent an email to customer service asking for the specific setup that I wanted and I received an email saying it would be taken care of. It took 21 days to receive my package and the first thing I noticed was that they were mounted with the wrong sidewall. Customer service instructed me to take them to a local shop and have them remounted. I spent $250 but customer service only covered $150. The shop I went to damaged the wheels and the paint started peeling. TB customer service first told me they could not do anything to help me because I had them remounted with another shop, and it was past their 30-day return policy seeing that it took 21 days for me to receive the delivery. After stating the fact that they were damaged because they were not mounted correctly, they said they could reimburse me $25 to buy a paint pen on amazon and they would send me a hoodie. After declining that they said they could send out a new wheel and tire but three of my wheels were damaged but they would only send out one wheel if and only if I had not driven on the tires. Trail built’s website does not cover any issues like mine in their return policy. Now after 45 emails they are telling me my only option is a partial refund of $75 and a hoodie.
I was well informed the tires I ordered were on back order and that it would be delayed. Updates via email were slow, however calling customer support, they were very polite and were able to provide real answers.Delivery was smooth, no damage, order was exactly as I expected and all parts accounted for.
Full disclosure; I love the rims and have kept them! The tires OK'd for fitment weren't even close to fitting (shame on me for not doing my part and asking question in advance with the techs, but some items on the site need tweaking.) The fitment calculator is way off, speak to someone in support, don't even bother using this thing. Do not let the purchased tires touch the ground, or they will not take them as a return. (I've since sold there tires and purchased ones that fit.) And I recommend finding someone in advance, if you do not have access to reprogramming the specific aftermarket TPMS sensors (if purchased). All of my interactions with staff were informative and positive, I've just burned up a lot of my time.
Even though the wheels were backordered, once they received them my order was processed rather quickly. I received my order within the time frame they provided. The wheel and tire package as well as the accessories arrived damage free and as expected.
