Disappointing updates to a beloved product

I've been buying weekly A5 diaries for 6 years for their ability to show my whole week at a glance. This year, the layout has changed, with the entire week now on the left side only, limiting each day to three lines—definitely not enough for my needs. The day and date are printed in small, light ink, making it hard to quickly identify the day without glasses. The right-hand page is entirely blank, which seems excessive for a planner. There are also fewer blank pages for notes at the end, which is disappointing. The previous format that spread the week over two A5 pages with an extra blank page at the end of each month was much more practical. I truly hope the company reverts to the older layout next year.

Why change a winning formula?

I have been purchasing weekly A5 diaries for 6 years because I enjoy having a full view of my week across a double A5 spread. This year, however, the entire week is now cramped onto the left-hand side, providing only one A5 page for the week, which results in just three lines per day—far too little space for daily appointments. Moreover, the day and date are printed in a small font and light ink, making it hard to quickly find the day without glasses. The right-hand page remains completely blank, which seems like a waste of space, as the diary is intended for planning, not journaling. There are also noticeably fewer blank pages for notes at the diary's end, which is disappointing. The previous format, which spread the week across two A5 pages and included an extra blank page at the end of each month, was much more useful. I truly hope the company reverts to the older style next year.

Order mishap and lack of communication

My order was lost, and I was not informed about it. I received a request to rate a product I never got. When I tried to reach out after learning my parcel was lost in transit, I got an automated response stating they closed the case due to lack of contact, despite my immediate email. No information about a refund was provided.

Ineffective customer support

The customer service experience was lacking. I waited on hold for 20 minutes only to be disconnected by an automated voice directing me to the website. There were no updates on my parcel's shipping status, and while the representatives were kind, they were ultimately unhelpful.

Not up to previous standards

I've been buying diaries for many years due to their reliable quality. Unfortunately, the 2026 editions feel like a downgrade. The cover is less sturdy, the paper is thinner, and there are fewer pages at the front and back, which used to enhance the diary’s appeal. Sadly, this has deterred me from making future purchases.

Extremely poor customer service

The customer service experience was terrible! My order hasn’t arrived, and the delivery service marked it as delivered even after I followed up. I spent over six hours waiting on live chat for a response, despite being told the wait time was 6-11 minutes. When I called, I was on hold for 22 minutes only to hear an automated message saying the phone lines were down due to high volume. I was told to expect an email about a potential follow-up if my goods didn’t arrive, but I doubt that will happen. I replied to the email regarding my missing items, and there has been no response. This service is completely unacceptable.

No support available

There is no customer service available. Items were missing from my order, and I waited hours for responses through online messaging and 30 minutes on the phone, but received nothing.

Fantastic experience

The website is excellent, easy to navigate, and offers great perks for members. The clothing quality is impressive and reasonably priced. It's a fantastic place to find trendy apparel without overspending.

Customer service is lacking

I ordered over £40 worth of Christmas decorations, but the box arrived damaged and open, missing two ornaments and one was broken. I tried contacting customer service online, waiting nearly two hours with no resolution, only to be told someone would be with me shortly. Their phone line is disabled, claiming they switched it off for 24/7 online support, but no one followed up on my issue. I won’t be purchasing from this company again.

Unfortunate experience at the store

My daughter visited the store and saw a promotion for a free gift with a £25 purchase. She spent £30, but when she asked for the gift, the assistant said they had run out days ago. Why display the sign if the gift is no longer available? It feels like a tactic to encourage spending. I will not shop there again after this experience.
