I bought 5 M/T (Mud Terrain) tyres on the internet during the Black Friday sales from Tyrola's online store. I also opted for their fitting service at Zimma's tyres in Jimboomba QLD. Tyrolas site didnt give me any options with what I required or didnt require when fitting my tyres. Upon making the fitting appointment over the phone the fitter agreed to refund the disposal costs as I intended to save my good existing tyres and take them home with me. This is why I went ahead with the chosen fitter. During the actual fitment of the tyres I asked the fitter for the my disposal refund as we discussed and agreed to on the phone. All of a sudden they didnt recall having the conversation on the phone. Then they proceeded to tell me to contact Tyrola for the refund as I paid Tyrola directly. Whilst I was at the fitter I phoned Tyrola who told me this would have to be run by the manager and they would give me a call back. I didnt hear back from them. Just for the record Zimmos was extremely slow in fitting the tyres and they seemed to be more interested in chatting to each other in the back of the workshop than actually fitting my tyres. At the end of fitment I was told to take the car and come back for the refund when its approved. They also told me that they will let Tyrola know that I took the removed tyres with me for future refitment. I never heard back from Tyrola so I called them again. They kept being evasive so I emailed Tyrola and complained about this transaction and how I was charged for a service that I didnt require or receive. Tyrola then proceeded to contact the fitter Zimmos who apparently said that my aluminium valve stems were rusted so they had to angle grind them out of the rims to fit new ones. Considering there are 2x rubber washers holding the valve stems in place and also making an air tight seal. Removal from the rims wouldnt have been such a drama as the claims have been made by the fitter and tyrola. I know for a fact the stems werent rusted because they werent made of steel. I specifically placed these aluminium stems into the rims as they dont rust and had a protective coating on them from manufacturer. I supplied them to the previous fitter of my tyres. The nuts had some superficial surface rust but that wouldnt have hampered the removal of the valve stems. and I tightened them periodically as they had a tendency to become loose over time. I always carry spare valve stems just incase I break one or 2 off road. Zimmos destroyed the valve stems and never wanted to show them to me and never returned the aluminium stems to me. They used my spares to replace the previous ones. Zimmos used this as an excuse to keep the disposal fee and to NOT refund. Tyrola backed/s there fitter and also refuses to refund the disposal fees. I have been threatened with legal ramifications if I give an honest account of my purchase and also if I give a negative review in relation to my experience and how Ive been treated with this transaction.NOT GOOD.For anyone reading this please beware of what you are paying for or NOT receiving after payment. Full disclosure for what your being charge for isnt apparent. I was charged for a service that I did NOT require. I am left out of pocket financially on this occasion. I will NOT recommend Tyrola or Zimmas tyres. They were deceptive in how they charged me and the service they provide. I was openly lied too. I entered into this purchase in good faith and was excited to have these tyres on my car for the Xmas holidays. Now I have a sour taste in my mouth and am somewhat disappointed that I was openly lied to and deceived by certain parties.Think twice before being tempted in using Tyrola and Zimmas services. In future I will buy from Bob Jane T mart who has always fitted my tyres and been upfront and open about what work Im being charged for. Any well known tyre fitters with physical stores seem to be the way to go as you get better service and they are more reliable. Big physical stores dont lie to get you through the door and then revoke what they have promised to do. They are always busy and booked out for good reason.I suggest you to play safe and beware of what you are signing up for on the net. Especially if you are spending big $$$ on very expensive tyres, rims or the like. I got caught out this time round. Once bitten twice shy. These guys have lost my future business no matter how tempting the deals might be. If I could give a negative star I would. Unfortunately for this review I am forced to give 1 star to be able to have it posted. Hope this review helps someone from getting screwed.
Tyroola has always been great tyre supplier. I've bought from them a lot of times in the past 5 years, and each time has always been a pleasure. Communication is always swift, updates are always quick, deliveries are hassle free and fast too if it's same state as your delivery address (same day delivery if within area of dispatch). Always been truthful and will make sure you know you're getting a take-down tyre in what condition.
An excellent experience. I booked the tyre purchase and fitting online with my preferred fitter in West Melbourne. When I got the tyres fitted, the technician at the shop mentioned that I didn’t really need the alignment I had paid for and suggested I ask for a refund for that part of the service. I asked this of Tyroola - they said no worries, and they processed my refund instantly—no back-and-forth, just a quick resolution.
I bought 4 new Pirelli tyres in June, 2025 - first time via Tyroola. Fast forward to November, 2025 we managed to clip a gutter and damage the sidewalls on 2 of the relatively new tyres. It turns out we had paid for tyre protect. Tyroola presented 2 options:1. To pay us out, taking into account 16% wear and tear on the tyres, we'd receive 84% of the cost originally paid for the tyres;2. To send new tyres (same production year as originally purchased tyres). We chose the first option. Mary (support lady) was great to deal with, informative and attentive. She processed our case without delay. Despite the quick turnaround, due to the online nature of the business and the shipping involved, this process can take a few days and if you urgently need your car on road, a conclusion and new tyres are unlikely to happen on the same day or overnight. Overall a great and positive experience.
