There’s 4 people in the waiting room and they haven’t seen a single person back. Three people left from having to wait so long, they have over 10 nurses or staff in the back and they’re going as slow as possible even with incoming patients making complaints and inquiries about the time it’s taking. Every single patient in waiting room had done triage but they won’t let anyone know how long it’s taking or why they’re not helping anyone. Been here for over 3 hours now and have had to step outside to breathe or get air because they won’t help you. Please don’t come here if you want to receive medical care, they don’t care about you and you will most definitely die if you have a serious emergency here.
I took my brother to UCHealth Longs Peak hospital because he couldn't breath I was trying to tell my brother what the resportory had to do but she keep holding up her hand at me but my brother don't always understand what they are saying to him they said I was stress him out and made me leave the room I went back to tell him I called his kids and they said I was going to stress him out again that they was going to take me to a different waiting area or I need to go home if I couldn't be with my brother I was going home I hope they are proud of the way the treat people because my brother didn't want me to leave. I ever go to the ER I will never let that charge nurse and a few other work on me of be any where near me even on my death bed.
UC Health at 64th and Mcintyre in Arvada. I saw physician assistant, Jessica. My husband and I were VERY unimpressed with her. I was the patient and my husband was the first one to start, let's go! I felt she did not listen! She appeared and sounded as though she judged all things by statistics and a box she put patients in. When we were leaving I told her perhaps she might consider that people she may see may have a medical background of experience and education. Her response was, "I treated you by your appearance". If I should EVER need to choose an UC facility would walk out before I would see her. Please, if you are in the medical field realize those who walk in to ser you, may be sick and not look their best!!!! I fully felt she was on her "presentation speech" of info, statistics and did not listen. We are all human beings and experts of what our symptoms are! Statictistics have their place and do not all apply to every single situation! This written from an older EMT, as a previouswife of a physcian and worked in PSL on inpatients floors for 10 years.
My experience with UC Health has been deeply disappointing and concerning. What stands out most is their billing practices, which I found to be aggressive and potentially predatory. The most egregious example was when I dropped off a basic lab test at my primary care physician's office. Without any prior warning or explanation, I received a bill for nearly $1,500, categorized as "outpatient hospital laboratory services." This type of unexpected charge seems designed to blindside patients who are simply trying to receive routine medical care.In my interactions with them, I've found that attempting to dispute or question these charges is futile. They appear uninterested in addressing billing concerns or correcting potential errors, even when the charges seem questionable or potentially improper.Based on my experience, UC Health seems to prioritize revenue generation over patient care and transparency. Their practices represent everything that's wrong with our healthcare system – focusing on maximizing charges rather than providing accessible, affordable care. For your own financial well-being, I strongly recommend seeking medical care elsewhere. The stress and financial burden of dealing with their billing department simply isn't worth it.1/5 stars
UCHealth Stapleton is only interested in how much money they can make and has no interest in your care. Dr. Mark Wisthoff was never available and when I called in an urgent situation they said he had 48 hours to get back to me. The office manager was as rude as anyone can be. Care is not their primary objective. DO NOT go to UCHealth if you really need care.
On Aug 12, I went for a routine Endoscopy which was probably not needed in the first place since my symptoms were not serious, but was led to believe this was for determining whether I needed surgery, which was the process 5-6 years ago. Which I later I did require and which was immediately successful. That was Rose Medical Center, not UC Health. At this latest procedure, they not only explored but went ahead with a procedure that has caused more discomfort and concern than when I went in.Here's two things to know:1. Calls to reach the lab have been complictaed and time consuming, getting told different numbers, pushing too many numbers and only being able to speak with an intermediary to the providing doctor who then gives his advice back to me through the assisitant. That, of course, leads to absolutely no immediate feed back which starts the entire mess of the commuciaction process of retruning messages. Awful system.2. But here's the bottom line: I believe they "fixed" something that did not fixing and. in doing so, created medical issues that I NEVER , EVER had before.
We have been patients of UC Health for 5 years and recently have been in regular contact with the providers (ACL surgery, PT etc over the last 2 years). We just received a letter from their attorney’s office for 2 bills that were not paid…I am shocked they would turn us over to an attorney versus just calling us or asking us in person! No doubt there could have been a problem with our secondary insurance, but a charge from 2 years ago without a phone call? Unacceptable, we have a zero balance on our account from the last year of being a patient.
Unfortunately ive had to utilize many of the uc health services. I recently switched to UC Health, worst mistake i ever made. If your health is important to you find another cause its not to them. They even acknowledged they didnt have staff to care and suggested i go to Penrose (horrible ratings).
I I could leave 0 stars I would due to the fact I had my mother in this hospital and the staff and doctors were completely rude to my mother when she is sickly highly recommend going to a different hospital yes theirs some good people but even I went here and they were rude when I was being nice and respectful. Please train your staff to be nicer to the patients.
This organization makes it way too difficult to get care in any way. I tried making an appointment with one of their providers and I had a referral. They lost the referral and I had to get another one. They were so rude about it. They then told me that I couldn't get an appointment for 3 weeks and if I didn't want that one, I would have to wait 2 1/2 more months. I explained that I also needed a biopsy and could I get that scheduled sooner. The employee tells me that the doctor performs the biopsy, so I can't get one for several months. I questioned this because a biopsy is usually considered more urgent. She mocked me and said people don't die of thyroid cancer "for years". This is so bizarre to me. I was able to get a biopsy on my breast in an imaging center and all the research I've done indicates that a radiologist, not an endocrinologist, performs the biopsy. So, I tell her this and she admits she just made it up. You can't get help here.
