Review Time
The Good: mostly intuitive, easy-to-use POS interface. Fine for very small operations or mobile businesses with few inventory variations. Weebly was once an excellent web-building platform, and while it has definitely suffered since Square's acquisition, it is still a solid choice for e-commerce.The Bad: If you have more than a couple dozen inventory variants, skip this platform. If your business requires more than one employee, more than one location, or more than one revenue source (ie. in-person AND online), skip this platform. They will nickel and dime you to death, take years to roll out even basic functionality features, and customer service is non-existent.
I’m not sure where these good reviews are coming from particularly since Square has nearly 7,000 negative complaints filed against them on the BBB in the last three years. Their MO is freezing business accounts essentially locking small business owners out of their operating, payroll, and generated revenue funds claiming a security review when this process could easily be done during onboarding. Businesses depend on these funds and it is crippling for any small owner when they cannot access their funds for any reason or get any reasonable resolution in a timely manner. Square claims security concerns for small businesses but are actually the cause of so many problems . Their customer service is riddled with layers of redundancy that prohibit customers from getting anything except for canned scripted answers and failed attempts at any type of escalation. No manager, supervisor or anyone with decision-making authority will ever speak directly to a customer and then the small business owners is left carrying the bag for employees they cannot pay and bills they cannot reconcile because Square is holding their money hostage. 1-2 day claim resolution time turns into 3-4 days and possibly having your account locked and your funds held for 90 days. What happens to a business when they cannot make payroll or pay bills in three months? Ask Square? You have been warned.
I've had ESET for over 10 years and wouldn't switch. They have provided excellent protection, as well as easy renewals. The best part by far is that they send only essential notifications. No annoying pop up notifications and ads. I've never had a breach with their service. Thank you ESET!
