I ordered a 07 engine and they tried to send me an 06 . I refused because it's not what I ordered . They sent me pictures and I noticed the tag before they shipped it . They said they found an 07 and was sending it . I asked for pictures and the description was blurry. Then it showed up at my house 3 days earlier than I was told . Unloaded it and it's description was an o6 also. They pulled a fast one on me . And looks very trashed . Then I noticed a green leak on the engine block . Keep getting give me 2 more days or we are working with our warranty team . This started on November 21 25 here it is January 30th . No warranty and a junk engine on a trailer and a creditor taking payment . $4000 IF I MAKE MINIMUM PAYMENTS. could of bought a new warranty engine from reputable promar engines just didn't have cash . Now my text and calls are being ignored. Im contacting Missouri and texas attorney generals bbb and federal trade commission. All I asked before this review was for them to pick up there junk and refund uown there money so I don't get bad credit. BECAUSIOUS THERE IN NO HURRY AND OBVIOUSLY DONT CARE
I purchased a replacement engine from Thrifty Engines / UsedEngines.us and experienced one of the most frustrating and unprofessional transactions of my career.After paying over $3,000 for what was supposed to be a tested, warrantied engine, my mechanic (a licensed shop owner) found the unit to be defective on arrival — rusted internals and a locked crankshaft. I immediately provided photos, documentation, and multiple written updates, yet communication from Thrifty Engines was slow, inconsistent, and evasive.Weeks were lost due to mislabeling on their shipping paperwork, which delayed installation and cost me additional shop labor and rental fees. Despite their internal errors, they repeatedly created arbitrary “deadlines” and procedural demands that were not stated anywhere in the original warranty, apparently to avoid responsibility for their own defective product.My mechanic remained available to verify the engine’s condition, and I stayed in communication throughout. The company’s final “denial” letter was inaccurate and dismissive, ignoring the facts already provided.In short: I paid thousands for a non-functional engine and received only obstruction and empty promises in return.Buyers should document everything, avoid paying via direct wire or cash app, and use a local, verifiable supplier instead. I am now pursuing formal complaints and small-claims action in multiple states (CA, TX, AL).
When I ordered the part I needed,Mrs Jones told me that the part I needed was priced at $216, but when I got my invoice it showed that you charged me $290 for the part so I informed my bank of possible fraud, please charge me what I was quoted or return my funds to my bank card,Thank you!
I didn’t like that b/c my mechanics shop didn’t show up on Google they were unwilling to ship the motor. Also, I was told on a Friday that the motor would be shipped on a Monday, now I’m being told it may not be actually shipped until Wednesday. -I like you have a dedicated person to chat with, however they are not as accessible as initially presented. Final price was different than verbal agreed upon price. But it was changed to reflect the verbally agreed upon price.
