This is not a great experience My pension money with utmost is being held. Am not able to access. I will probably die and family will continue to fight for my pension I really believe we are being scammed. Almost won't talk I have lost £38000This company won't talk to me. Why can't I have my pension I give up not allowing my pension
I have spoken to Utmost twice in the past 17 days. Both times I was lucky to talk to the same person, Rod. Our conversations were professional, helpful and polite, he gave me the information I requested in a way I could understand. If I need to speak to Utmost in the future, I hope Rod is the person I will talk with. Thank you, Rod.
I found it very difficult to get in contact with utmost. The phone lines kept cutting off after I had been in the queue for a very long time. At one point 39 minutes. I think this is something that needs looking into. I must say after I complained about this I found the communication over email to be very efficient and helpful. A shame I had to complain prior to getting good customer service.
Believe all the negative reviews. I’ve been dealing with Utmost Trust regarding the surrendering of policies for a trust my late father set up for my children. Their response to even the simplest email request is incredibly slow. I've have to call their Isle of Man office and send numerous emails to chase progress. Despite being very patient, it’s been dragging on for too long and I'm not that further along in the process than where I was at 6 months ago. Granted, when you do communicate or speak to them, they are polite, but then it's followed by delays and misinformation. I emailed them last week informing them that I would make a complaint if I didn’t get a response to a straightforward query by a certain date. As expected, no response. I’m now in the process of compiling an official complaint. Their lack of customer service, as reflected in other reviews, is obvious. I do due diligence when using a company, so personally I would not given Utmost Trust my business if the choice had been mine.
Having closed my pension, the settlement date of the last part of the fund was June 12th. As yet, no funds have been received 9 days later. Having worked in Financial markets all my life, most deals are settled at T + 2 days. Funds take less than 24 hours to be remitted anywhere in the world, sometimes instantaneously. So why the delay then ? This seems either at best incompetence, or at worst something more sinister. My financial advisor contacted them after a week, but they did not reply. I spoke directly on the phone, but they could not give me details as I was not the financial advisor. Fair enough, but they did say it had been sent for payment. So why the delay? Surely it must be illegal for companies to hold on to customer funds longer than required. I can only guess that their operations/back office is something from the stone age, or they are using delaying tactics.
Ok, so after 4 months of toing and froing and filling in forms I finally heard from a lady at Utmost to say they would pay the money into my bank (although not a lot I have to say in the end). Admittedly my partner died over 20 years ago and Utmost have been trying to find me through his old company. A colleague of his told me they had been trying to 'find' me. My concern is that nothing was in writing for some reason (apart from the forms I filled in) and was only spoken about on the phone. Glad it's finally all over now as it brought up a lot of old memories again! All sorted now, thank you and I must say I DO appreciate Utmost for trying to find me in the first instance.
Disappointed with the Service. Called Utmost to discuss my pension. After 22 minutes on the phone speaking to Tina and Gabriella at the contact centre, asking to speak to a pension manager about the poor management of my pension, I was promised a call back after they had returned from lunch! It is now 4 pm. and no call back. Whilst waiting for my call back I have read all the other poor reviews of this company which is uncomfortable reading but confirms that I am probably wise to transfer my money to a pension company that will offer me a better service for the charges they are making.
