Purchased a Skoda karoq from V12. I discovered the car had holes in the carpet, unuseable dashboard vents due to them being broken, The car had had the rear quarter resprayed poorly leaving rough paint finish and overspray marks, but worst. The waterpump failed leaving me stranded and a expensive repair bill. I also found there interest rates extreamly high. So I wont be going back there again.

Complaint Regarding Misrepresentation and Wasted Journey – V12 Sports & Classics

I am writing to formally raise a complaint and to make others aware of my recent experience with V12 Sports & Classics.

I was considering purchasing an Audi A6 as a downgrade from my current Range Rover. As part of the proposed deal, I made it explicitly clear that I would only proceed if I was guaranteed a minimum part-exchange valuation of £30,000 for my vehicle. I have negative equity, which I was fully prepared to address, but I was absolutely clear that anything less than £30,000 was not acceptable.

Dani confirmed — after allegedly speaking with the business managers — that £30,000 would be honoured and that the in-person valuation would merely be a formality. I stressed that I would need to drive two hours to Stoke and would not make that journey unless this figure was guaranteed. I was assured it was.

I was also told that the Audi A6 I intended to purchase would be on site at Stoke on Saturday 28th and available to view.

After driving two hours, I was informed:

My vehicle was only worth £26,000 maximum — a £4,000 shortfall from what was promised.

The Audi A6 I was travelling to view was not on site and had not been transported as stated.

To say this was disappointing would be an understatement. My vehicle is pristine, with full service history and every optional extra available. It sits in the highest possible bracket for condition and specification. There was no ambiguity about my expectations before travelling.

I see no reason why I would fabricate the valuation I was told over the phone — I had nothing to gain and everything to lose by making a four-hour round trip unnecessarily. The only reasonable conclusion is that I was misled in order to get me through the door.

This felt very much like a bait-and-switch tactic:
Promise one valuation to secure the appointment, then reduce it once the customer has committed their time and effort.

I anticipate a standard corporate response to this complaint, but the facts remain unchanged:

A minimum £30,000 was promised.

The vehicle I was travelling to view was confirmed as being on site.

Neither of these statements were true.

As a result, my time was wasted, I incurred travel costs, and the entire experience has left a very poor impression.

I would strongly caution others to obtain written confirmation of valuations and vehicle availability before making any long journeys based on verbal assurances.

Georgia is very courteous and a delight to deal with. We've had all our questions answered, and the expected warranties upselling (extended warranties / ceramic coatings etc) were not too pushy. We feel like we've had great service.

Sales? Fine. Aftersales? Appalling!

Bought a car in November from their Stoke on Trent branch, sales process was fine and really happy with the purchase.

Car developed a fault in mid-January, which wasn't known about at the time. Despite being sold a "comprehensive" warranty, this fault wasn't covered (despite Nissan not showing what the fault was, without further investigation) - okay, fine. Asked for a refund as car was not fit for purpose.

This process - from being told about the lack of coverage, to getting the car collected and refunded - took weeks. Weeks where there was little proactive communication from V12, meaning I was calling them on an almost daily basis for information.

One example of this was (yet another) call for an update on when the car would be collected from Nissan, only to be told - for the first time - it was happening in three hours. Meaning I had to take time off work at extremely short notice to collect my personal items from the car.

Even when the car had been collected, it took multiple calls to find out what the refund amount would be, and when I would receieve it. Several promises of "payment is being sent out today" were proven to be wrong by the next call.

No surprise that the only department to call back promptly was the sales department, when there was a potential commission for selling a replacement vehicle!

After six weeks without a working car, finally got the refund and was then able to to buy a replacement - obviously not from V12!

We had a fantastic experience buying our car from Manny. He was incredibly helpful and friendly from start to finish. No pressure at all. we just came to have a look around and ended up leaving with a car!
Manny is a great salesman because he makes you feel comfortable and genuinely looks after you. He was especially brilliant with my three kids, engaging with them and making the whole process stress-free and enjoyable for our family.
Super service all round – highly recommend!

We purchased a Ford Kuga ST Line X PHEV on the 31st January. The service was fantastic! We only came to have a look around and even though they were incredibly busy, they made us feel welcome and let us get a closer look at some cars. Amazingly after a while deciding and negotiating 😉 We drove away that day with the car. They even stayed open late to get the deal done. Thanks to the whole team in that day, special mention to Ammar for being patient with us and to Greg for even offering to buy in a pizza for our son. Couldn't have been happier with the service. Greg, look after that Cosworth if you buy it 😁😉

My experience at V12 was genuinely shocking. The salesman, Jon, was rude, cocky, and relentlessly pushy about optional extras. Despite clearly and repeatedly saying no, he kept pushing, and when it became obvious I wasn’t giving in, he suddenly walked away without a word and left us sitting at his desk. Moments later, he sent over another salesman who immediately carried on with the same pressure tactics. It felt incredibly uncomfortable and completely disrespectful.

Even after deciding to buy the car, the service didn’t improve — if anything, it got worse. They refused to valet the car, which was clearly filthy and hadn’t been cleaned since the previous owner. I was then handed the keys and left to go and find the car myself, with no guidance or help whatsoever.

Buying a car should feel exciting. Instead, this felt stressful, awkward, and unprofessional. The level of customer service was extremely poor, and I would strongly advise others to think twice before dealing with V12.

I already left a review but I am writing again because V12 still have not responded properly to a very serious issue.

After buying the car, I found out through the previous owner that it had accident damage to the boot before it was sold to me. I have video and photos as proof. This was never disclosed, which is not acceptable under UK law and completely changes the value of the car.

I sent this evidence to V12 and asked for a fair solution. Since then, all I have had is silence or generic replies about small things like mats and tyre kits, while the real issue is being ignored.

This is not how a professional dealer should behave. If there was nothing to hide, they would deal with it openly. Instead, they are avoiding the problem and hoping it goes away.

The sales team were friendly when I was paying, and they were quick to sell me extra warranties, but when something serious comes up, nobody wants to take responsibility.

If you are thinking of buying from V12, be very careful. Make sure you get everything in writing and do not trust what you are told over the phone. My experience has been stressful, disappointing, and a complete waste of time

Purchased a van and the experience was seamless throughout.

Acquired a van from the seller and the entire process was effortless from beginning to end. The description was truthful, communication was straightforward, and there was no pressure at any time. Extremely professional and trustworthy seller. I would gladly recommend this service!
