Absolutely unacceptable service from Wards.
I was clearly promised completion before Christmas and told the sale would take no longer than 3–4 months. Instead, it dragged on for more than 6 months. The expectations set at the beginning were completely misleading.
This was not an isolated issue. I had another property with them and the same pattern happened again — poorly qualified buyers, delays, and zero proactive management. It felt like buyers were pushed through without proper checks, leaving me to deal with the consequences.
What made it worse was the complete lack of support. I had to chase them constantly for updates and push the sale forward myself. That is not the seller’s responsibility — that is what the agent is paid commission for. At no point did I feel they acted in my best interest.
The overall service was unprofessional, reactive instead of proactive, and focused on securing commission rather than delivering what was promised. Trust has been completely broken.
If you want to risk losing time, money, and peace of mind, use Wards. Otherwise, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I would strongly suggest reaching out to the agent from the company. Although I already had an agent and didn't utilize their services, the representative kept in touch regularly, offering assistance and guidance. She is very professional, friendly, and supportive. I discovered that the branch manager was also marketing her own property within the same agency, which raised significant concerns. It appeared that my sale was not prioritized, and I felt overlooked. Despite providing documentation to support my claims, my concerns were dismissed. I received a brief apology, but it did not address the conflicts of interest I experienced. The lack of transparency and accountability was unacceptable, and I caution potential clients to be wary of this agency.

I strongly advise against this unreliable and untrustworthy company. After I had instructed solicitors following my offer's acceptance, they presented an alternative offer to the seller. I should have realized their dubious tactics when they quickly suggested the seller needed more money, even though my offer was the only one considered. After accepting my offer, they urged me to use their recommended solicitors (who they profit from) immediately. Just two days later, they informed me they had taken another offer, completely disregarding our agreement. This lack of integrity has left me out of pocket due to their pursuit of higher commissions. If you're looking to sell or buy, please consider a different firm to ensure ethical practices.
