Our spray foam caused issues with ventilation. We were worried it would be messy job, but the lads handled everything brilliant. The loft is now clean and ready for proper insulation. Couldn't be happier with the service.
Had my loft insulated by Arthur and Alex. They were polite, on time and workred effeciently throughout the day. I appreciated how they showed before/after photos so I could see exactly what was done. Noticeable diffrence in warmth already.
Carl called on the Monday to inspect my loft found moist on the rafters , so the men Aron and Janes came here next day, arrived about 9 worked all the time apart for one drink , then fished about 2 ,they cleaned up after they finished , very nice young men and helpful , so Now will have to see if they is any differents when winter arrives
My property was assessed by a surveyor who identified a significant moisture problem in my loft due to poor insulation. He advised me to get the insulation changed or at some point I might face more significant measures like having to undergo some kind of roof repair. I agreed with his assessment and signed for foil insulation on his advice. They managed to fast track the installation due to how bad the moisture problem was and work was carried out the next day speedily and efficiently despite the heat in general but more importantly in the loft.Positives+ everybody identified themselves and I was informed who would be coming and when+ everybody arrived within the appointment window even if they didn't necessarily come at the earliest part of said window+ given how filthy the loft was they left things relatively clean and I didn't need to do much more than run a vacuum over the carpets to make everything pristine again+ they emptied my loft of items left by the previous tenant with no extra charge and there turned out to be way more things up there than expected+ work was carried out pretty fast by my reckoning and whilst they did take breaks because of the heat they didn't take the mickNegative- the initial surveyor seemed a bit rushed and behind schedule- due to the above rushed aspect of the surveyor I believe he failed to mention wood treatment I could have received that would have helped with the damp even more as I understood it.- I was only informed of the wood treatment after installation of the foil was complete and the installer made it clear that the wood could no longer be treated after the foil was in place- I got in touch the office and they escalated it to their manager who failed to get back in touch with me on the day of the installation- they are very insistent on getting paid and when I didn't pay on the day of installation due to aforementioned concerns they rung me back on the next working day. I was at work at the time and mentioned this and the agent became quite threatening when I suggested we could do this on my next day off due to me being unable to pay it because I was busy and might not get a free moment before they shut. I did eventually pay it later that day but they are incredibly inflexible and aggressive when it comes to payment.Additional info:~ having spoken to their manager my concerns about not getting the wood treatment were alleviated and he answered my questions about the job
I was cold called regarding a loft space inspection which I agreed to. The man came, and spent about 15 min on the inspection. My property is a 1920’s bungalow. He found no signs of damp but the lagging was nearly 20 years old and he said insulation could be improved which would reduce my bills and epg rating which is low but was not essential. He was not pushy in any way and told of a foil product fitted under the tiles which could improve both. The price was reasonable but as subsidies couldn’t be guaranteed till I committed I declined.About 3 weeks later the office rang with a guaranteed better price and I agreed. Two days later Sam and Harry arrived about 9.30. They discussed what they were going to do advised on a number of options as I have a large complex roof space in three sections. They covered downstairs and began work. They wouldn’t stop for drinks or lunch even though it was a hot day and worked through until about 2.30.When they had finished they vacuumed throughout and tidied up. They took me up into the loft to inspect what they had done and gave me around 20 before and after photographs covering all areas. They were polite and courteous and couldn’t have been better in their work and approach.I am a cautious pensioner and investigate things thoroughly before committing so I can say everything has been exactly as promised with an excellent tidy job and a professional staff in all departments.
We have been experiencing a condensation issue in our loft necessitating the use of dehumidifier pots in the loft space. John Pickles called by prior arrangement and carried out a survey of the loft which revealed our 38 year old loft glass fibre insulation was ineffective and was showing signs of a black mold. He showed us several photos of our loft and discussed the remedial options with us. He recommended that the old glass fibre insulation was removed and replaced with Rock Wool at roof joist level. In addition the rafters would be treated and a multi foil was then attached to the rafters to combat condensation. There was no hard sell and he told us that we were free to use another local installer or to use Warmer Solutions. As JP had been helpful carefully explaining what was causing the condensation we decided to go ahead with WS. The work was carried out last Wednesday by Zack and Chaz who worked non stop to get the job done quickly and thoroughly. There was a query about the job materials but this was quickly resolved. The old insulation was picked up the next morning as promised to be disposed off in an environmentally safe manner. An immediate benefit was that in this hot weather the upstairs of the house is cooler and the loft space a better place for light storage. We are now keen to find out the potential gas central heating savings this winter and hopefully with effective loft insulation the house should warm up more quickly. We are glad to have got the job done now in time for next winter and to have little or no loft condensation.
