Ordered a custom-made Indy jacket and it only took 18 days to have it in hand. The heavy duty horsehide jacket weighs 4.3lbs and fit perfectly. Really exceeded my expectations and if you’re on the fence as to whether to buy or not….all I can say is that I’m glad I did.
Got the CUSTOM MADE Raiders jacket and cannot recommend highly enough. Tailored to perfection and the quality is incredibly high. The leather is so soft and combined with the satin lining it makes it the most comfortable jacket you’re likely to get.
Initially I was looking for some high-quality boots.Having previously purchased the Indiana Jones jacket from Wested I knew the quality was there. I ordered some hand-made Indy style boots which were well priced. On receipt (speedy delivery) I found them to be too big. Wested made the return and replacement for a smaller size effortless. I've ordered probably a half dozen jackets from Wested over the last 20+ years -- mostly trying and failing to replace my beloved Raiders "ROLA" model that I bought from Wested in the mid 2000s which somehow got lost when we moved many years ago. The standard cuts just weren't for me, a little too boxy. So I went with a 40" Raiders Legacy and can confirm they've absolutely nailed it with this new Legacy style. The leather is incredible -- it says its thicker than the standard lambskin but mine feels just as light if not slightly lighter than standard lamb. The smell is incredible. The tone is a slightly darker brown that's nicely understated, with minimal shine. Customer service was quick to answer my annoying questions as they always are. Brilliant work, and really appreciate the fast turnaround too!
I have been looking for a quality leather stockman coat for some time.....This is an individually handmade coat which makes a great alternative to the many waxed cotton ones available.....The attention to detail is superb, with stitching to a very high standard.....Sizing is accurate and allows room for layers if desired.....I am 6ft , 85 kg.....the size M fits well with room for a jacket or warm sweater. Pair up with leather boots and a fur lined hood for complete weather protection....Highly Recommended....!!
I purchased two custom made Firenze Retro Blouson Style Jackets tailored to my personal measurements. Both are a near-perfect replacement for an old jacket that lacked external chest pockets but featured two internal ones. Wested replicated the design flawlessly, and I’m very satisfied with the fit, materials and craftsmanship.
I watched Raiders of the Lost Ark for the first time when I was perhaps nine years old and, to put it mildly, became rather obsessed. I discovered that Wested made the official Indy jacket years later when I was a student, but never had the money or, by that point, the inclination, to buy one. But the idea never quite went away. Now, in my thirties and having just bought a house, I decided it was time to treat myself having recently rewatched some of the films (and eagerly awaiting the PS5 release of The Great Circle), so after much measuring of myself and contemplating whether I should risk a custom order in case it didn't fit right, I decided to order the standard Raiders jacket in size 40.I really can't fault it. Apart from arriving only five days after I placed the order, the pre-distressed leather is absolutely beautiful and feels smooth but tough, slightly stiff but not enough to inhibit movement, and has a lovely leathery smell. The features are all there - heavy brass zip, two-way patch pockets with very positive poppers that will definitely keep valuables safe, and a decent-sized inside pocket. The hangar loop is a decent thickness and seems well sewn on, a particular irritation of mine being when the loop on a jacket breaks so you can't hang it easily without a hangar. The brass D-rings on the side lend it even more of a classic style. As my wife said, if I hadn't told her it was an Indy jacket she would have just thought it was a really nice classic leather jacket.My advice for sizing is just to stick to the charts on the site and measure yourself carefully, or a jacket of similar shape that you know fits you. I'm about 180cm and average build, and the size 40 fits me perfectly in terms of sleeve length, overall length and chest, and zips up comfortably without restricting my movement. I measured my arms to make sure it seemed to match the chart on the site and it was dead on. I've been wearing it over a wool jumper most of the time as it's been chilly, and it fits well, but also fits with just a t-shirt. I'm not given to gushing, but having wanted an Indy jacket for about 25 years I really can't find anything about it that isn't how I imagined. If you've always wanted an Indy jacket then I can't imagine you'll be disappointed.
Wested leather are the best for accurate indiana jones cosplay gear in the UK they are so good alot of there cliant base are American.I have just bought a Raiders jacket in Destiny leather it is superb..Do yourself a favour buy the best from Wested leather
