I’ve had a very frustrating experience with WP Event Manager. What should be a straightforward plugin for managing events turned into hours of troubleshooting, broken functionality, and poor documentation.

Basic features like the REST API either don’t work as expected or return errors (404s), and there are warnings about improperly registered routes (missing permission callbacks), which shows a lack of proper maintenance. For a plugin that presents itself as a complete solution, this is extremely disappointing.

The biggest issue is that I actually had to rewrite parts of their own script just to get core functionality working properly. That should never be necessary with a production-ready plugin. Instead of saving time, this plugin ended up creating more work and headaches.

Integration with add-ons and other WordPress components is inconsistent, and many features either require additional paid extensions or simply don’t work reliably out of the box. On top of that, the documentation is limited and not very helpful when trying to resolve issues.

Overall, the plugin feels unfinished and poorly supported. I would not recommend it for any serious or production-level project unless you’re prepared to fix things yourself.

RUN -- do not walk -- AWAY from this…

RUN -- do not walk -- AWAY from this plug-in. This is what you will experience:- License keys that need to be re-entered every time you troubleshoot- That WILL NOT WORK even when everything is current- Support that gives up, or never responds- BUGS from their ridiculously overly engineered "suite" of plug-ins that constantly crashWe have been dealing with this God forsaken nightmare for two years and will soon be moving on, migration is difficult but there is no point continuing with this nightmare. There are constant things that conflict and don't make sense. I could go into them here but it would be more wasted time.Stay far away from this company and this ridiculously poor plug-in that doesn't do basic checks to ensure that things don't break every few weeks.- You will lose money as a business.- You will lose credibility as a company.- You will spend unnecessary amounts of time trying to get the attention of their ridiculously poor customer service.- They will attempt to fix the plug-in and leave various OTHER plug-ins deactivated and simply leave the website in a broken state without notifying you.- You are the one who will have to figure out what's wrong with the plug-in. They will never finish the job.

Worst plugin and support team I have ever encountered

Avoid this plugin at all costs. I paid $500+ for what I thought was a one time purchase as nowhere on their site does it state an annual payment clearly. I even asked the chatbot that they have on their website and it told me that I would not have to pay yearly for their products which turned out to be an absolute LIE.They don't protect their customers either, offering NO REFUND even for their broken product. Their support team is helpless. Asking me to repeat the same steps and I've found far better help asking people who have only suffered the same problems. I will not be using this plug in ever again and will make sure everyone hears how terrible this product and service is. What a complete waste of time and money

Severely Buggy Plugin

Severely Buggy Plugin, Zero AccountabilityWP Event Manager has been one of the worst premium WordPress plugin experiences I’ve encountered.I purchased WP Event Manager Pro for USD 199, expecting a stable, production-ready solution. What I got instead was a bug-ridden plugin that does not work out of the box. Core functionality failed, paid add-ons could not detect the main plugin, ticketing features didn’t appear, and basic workflows were broken. To make matters worse, it took close to 10 days of continuous back-and-forth with their support team just to get the plugin into a semi-working state. This is completely unacceptable for a paid plugin — especially one positioned as a “professional” event management solution. The most concerning part: they offer absolutely no refunds, even when the plugin is demonstrably broken and unusable. Their refund policy protects them, not the customer — regardless of whether the product works or not. This plugin caused:Major project delaysHigh stress during a time-sensitive event launchLost productivity and wasted development hoursIf you are working on ticket sales, live events, or anything with real deadlines, avoid this plugin. The risk is far too high.A premium price does not equal premium quality here. Poor stability, slow resolution of critical bugs, and zero accountability make this a product I cannot recommend.

Experience with WP Event Manager Plus (Google Maps and a Color Feature)ant to share my personal expe

I want to share my personal experience with the WP Event Manager plugin, which I purchased because it promised full Google Maps integration. My goal was simple. I needed events to appear correctly on the map. The entire process ended up being frustrating. After the purchase, the support team requested full access to my website and hosting account. I provided all permissions. They checked the installation, but the problem remained exactly the same. The Google Maps display still fails and the plugin behaves as before, without any working map integration. On top of that, the color settings do not work at all. The same color configurations work without issues in BuddyBoss, but WP Event Manager does not apply them. Support provided no solution.Since the advertised features were not functioning, I requested a refund. The request was rejected. This matches previous experiences I had with software companies from India. Even when a plugin does not work as described, they refuse to issue a refund. Now I am stuck with a license for a plugin that delivers neither proper Google Maps functionality nor working color settings. Support has stopped responding, even though they confirmed they reviewed everything. No solution and no communication.Experiences like this damage the reputation of companies that do honest work. There are reliable firms, but after this, trust becomes hard.If you depend on Google Maps or working color customization, I cannot recommend WP Event Manager. Be cautious with refunds. They may not happen even when the plugin fails to deliver the advertised features.Subscription - #75814 Purchased onNov 29, 2025Expires OnNov 29,2026Renewal Amount$99StatuscancelledSubscription frequencyEvery Year

Offered a refund if we remove our bad reviews

Beware good reviews are misleading. We tried this and were unable to get support in a timely professional manner. The product is sold with limited short codes information, leaving the customer to have to search all of their documentation (which is extensive and fragmented). Not all support documentation found will provide you with specific answers. If you have to reach out to Support you will not get a timely answer. Like many bad wordpress plugins, this is just one more, bad support and tons of half baked you tube videos. They will not refund any purchases. The initial loss is low but the countless hours you lose trying to make this work or get a response from their support team is far more expensive. ** Support has just emailed us and stated they will refund us if we remove all bad reviews of the product **You can assume any good reviews are speculative.
