DASHLANE.After paying for a year's subscription to Dashlane, when trying to logon to Dashlane, I get the message"This version of the app is no longer supported"Dashlane is not responding to my emails asking for a version that is supported or my money refunded.And I am finding it nearly impossible to cancel my annual subscription payments to Dashlane. It looks like they will be taking my money on a regular basis for a service they are no longer supporting.
DASHLANE -- MY EXPERIENCE : I've signed up in like 2021 from a sponsor where I've been watching a video seems normal right? Anyways I didnt even use it at all and things were fine. But in 2025 this company has been So sketchy that I cant even describe it for example : sending me emails about some trial I didnt even subscribe for, sending from different emails every time so they bypass blocks, not giving a unsubscribe button only a text that says "To stop getting these messages, delete your account" I'm like "okay.. annoying" I click the delete account button. It redirects to Dashlane support. It genuinely dosent let you do anything. you have to go to the actual dash lane site to even do anything at this point im pissed like "okay im going to your other site" I go to log in and then "install dash lane smart extension to safari to access log in"im actually fuming at this point and I install 300 apps from dash lane on my MacBook which has been suspiciously hot since ive installed their viruses okay I can finally access the site just to be hit with "enter your master password" I click "forgot password" since its been like 4 years at this point and im tired of 5 notifications a day from dash lane saying BUY NOW and it takes me to a other link from support saying basically saying "haha cant help u to recover" I am obviously flabbergasted at this point I go back to the site and not even iCloud Keychain has it since I was a android user back then but then got rich and got a iPhone like the amount of shit you throw at me like even ur support site says "The only way to stop receiving all emails from Dashlane is to delete your account. Deleting your Dashlane account erases all your data, including logins and any personal information linked to your account. This process also erases all financial data associated with the account." like thank you very much dash lane --the legal bucket of shit-- technically there is nothing illegal because they still tell you how to stop getting "haha noob buy our stuff now" but this has to be borderline illegal because bypassing blocks by using different emails is so shitty that I am amazed that this company still exists and keeps a 3.6 rating on trust pilot while answering to 7% of negative emails
They force you to chaneg your passworrd for a pin and when you fail three times to the next day in the pin is blocked for ever. Dont make any sense. I tryed they unblocked me pin try it failled theres no way to recover anythhing just restar all and lost all the passwords, so if you faill three times or a hacker try to put three times your pin is blocked and all lost for ever, the most stupid system i ever hard. They dont want to give you a single try more never ever.
I am a long time user; I rely totally on Dashlane and am usually 90 percent satisfied. I need some assistance and it's day 3 already and no response. It's just not good enough for a company that holds the keys to my whole life! The chat bot is embarrassingly basic - definitely no answer for me there.
I chose Dashlane over 10 years ago as a free user and never expected to have the troubles I'm having today all that time ago. They've already showed their true colours as a company when they restricted free users being able to copy and paste passwords etc a few years ago.Now they've decided to completely abandon their free user base and shut down the free user tier and gave a date to export passwords in a csv spreadsheet.This is the equivalent of having your valuables locked up safely in your house then thrown into the street for anyone to view or take!!We gave our trust in dashlane as free users to store our passwords encrypted and an excel CSV file is not encrypted so this represents a huge security risk for us free users having all our passwords sat on our hard drives, people will get hacked and have potentially massive problems because of this company's decision!What's worse not all my passwords have exported properly and the file does not import properly into rival software.I'm now either got to copy passwords one by one into a new password manager or mess around with headers on a spreadsheet to try and get it to import elsewhere.This is beyond the average user's skillset and a huge waste of time for the rest of us. Irresponsible company just trying to make a quick buck by trying to force their users to upgrade, surely their reputation is more important??Dashlane sucks!!
