Had an issue with a leaking washing machine and MJ arrived promptly and went above and beyond to remedy my situation. I can not thank MJ and Goldstar enough as it wasn't the easiest to get equipment up to my unit but the solution was not to much trouble for this very professional company. Thank you again
I hire cars regularly at Nice airport. I chose Goldcar this time as it was the cheapest. I had not read all the bad reviews. I hired the car for the week, drove very carefully and did very little mileage. The damage report form when I collected the car declared "Damage to Rear Right Wheel Rim". When I returned the car after a week, with no incidents, I was charged 360 euro for "Damage to Rear Right Wheel Rim". I was charged for the pre-existing damage. I did not know about the charge until I checked my emails when I got home. I wrote a complaint to Goldstar's Customer Service, as per their procedures. Receipt of the complaint was acknowledged, but Goldcar never replied to my complaint. I am taking the matter up with the EU's Consumer Complaints Section, if only to raise international awareness of Goldstar's dodgy practices. When I checked other reviews, there were similar complaints of sharp practice by Goldcar and other examples of charging for pre-existing damage. My advice: Book with an honest, reputable company even if it means paying more. It will save you money and peace of mind in the long term.
Goldcar in IBIZA airport used a very aggressive upsell tactic, I declined any supplementary insurance as when I booked it through a third party company I paid all the damage waivers then, the Goldcar rep told me that I wasn't covered by this and Ishould pay theirs anyway, I did pay £34 for cover in case I did not return it fully fuelled which the rep said covered me in full, I returned it 3/4 full only to be charged for the fuel (£32) when challenged they said the initial fee was to cover any penalties for not filling the car up and not the actual fuel.TOTAL SCAM - DO NOT USE THIS CAR HIRE COMPANY
Gold car in Barcelona airport used a very aggressive upsell tactic, I declined any supplementary insurance {but insurance as Super Relax Cover AND Mega Relax Cover was included anyway -what that means anyway?) As well I doubt about Cross Border fees, included as Cross Border Cover (kind of insurance? again).I have to sign on an e-pad without having provided a hard paper receipt and only the email receipt received later in Canada was explaining the fees. Total fraud.
Shocking company. Ordered a shirt for a birthday and didn’t arrive. I emailed them asking where it was, they replied saying it would be with me on Monday 3 weeks later still not arrived and now ignoring my emails. Have requested a refund through my bank. Would not buy from them again.
I loved Goldstar while it serviced my area. It gave me a chance to see events that I wouldn't have had the opportunity to attend. I'm a senior on a fixed income so I'm careful how I spend my money. Unfortunately, Goldstar no longer services the south Florida market. It is a true loss. My husband and I saw many great shows due to Goldstar.
